JCPC Request for Proposals DJJDP Continuation Funding FY 2006-2007 Guilford County $1,003,915 11/03/05 County County Allocation Date Advertised The use of DJJDP Funds require a local match of 30 % The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council having studied the needs of youth in GUILFORD County hereby publishes this Request for Proposals. Department of Juvenile Justice and delinquency prevention (DJJDP) funds in the above stated amount will be available for programs serving delinquent and at-risk youth for the state fiscal year 2006-2007 beginning on, or after, July 1, 2006. The programs should address the following risk factors identified by the JCPC. Early and persistent Behavior Problems in School Academic Failure Community Alcohol and Drug Use Community Crime and Violence The Programs should address one or more of the following protective Factors to provide programming that allow youth skill-building, opportunities, recognition and bonding that promote healthy beliefs and clear standards. Protective Factors offer protection against the risks for delinquency. Based on the JCPC planning process conducted to date, the dispositional options needed in this County have been identified to be the following: Community Based Programs - Psychological Assessment Services Non Residential - Counseling Non Residential - Home Based Family Services Residential Treatment - Group Homes Restorative Intervention Services - Restitution, Community Service, Teen Court Substance Abuse Treatment - Residential Supervised Day Program - Educational Day programs Local public agencies, non-profit corporations and local housing authorities wishing to submit applications for programs to address any of these dispositional options will need to secure application forms and other necessary information from: Beverly Williams (email@example.com ) at (336) 641- 6829 JCPC Staff Contact Note: Info and Forms are posted at www.co.guilford.nc.us Further information or technical assistance will be provided.
