Update on Nashville Conference

Mark reported on the Nashville Conference.

Rooms – Mark said we have booked over 60 room-nights of the 100 set aside in our room block.
He noted that Trena negotiated with the hotel so that we do not have to book a minimum number
of rooms.

Registrations – Mark reported we have 35 registrations so far and 6 of those are from watershed
groups. Chuck stated he would like to use all 10 sponsorships so we could accept more than 1
person from a watershed if necessary.

Reception – Mark said Ingram has agreed to provide $500 toward our networking reception and
Trena is working with the Gaylord on having the reception at the Jack Daniels Restaurant. We
plan to have the reception on Tuesday the 27th from 5:30-6:30 and give members the option of
staying at the Jack Daniels Restaurant for dinner immediately following the reception.

Work Group Note Takers – Mark noted Beth Cade, Brandon Brummett, Dave Meadows and
Ryan Fisher are all available as note takers in each of the working group breakouts.

Photographer – Mark reported Beth Cade will be taking photos.

                                               1
AV – Trena is purchasing the screen packages at the Gaylord, but to minimize the AV costs she
is planning to provide projectors. She asked the Committee members to consider bringing their
laptops.

Speaker’s Gifts – Mark reported that Trena is checking with the gift shop at the Gaylord on
speaker’s gifts of approximately $15-$20 each.

Agenda – Mark noted that Mike Steinmaus and Dvon Duncan are still working to finalize the
Watershed Panel. Also, Trena is checking on a speaker for the “Safe Tool Flood Preparation”
topic. We were able to switch the Ingram Barge speakers to the afternoon with Alan Vicory to
the morning on the 27th.

Introduction of Speakers – Mark reported that we are still waiting to determine who will
introduce John McCormick.

ACTION 3: Mark still needs to get with the Working Group Leaders to find out what they
want to discuss during their breakouts at the conference and then send out a reminder to
our membership on the latest working group topics for discussion. He also needs a list of
accomplishments from each of the working group leaders for Carolyn to include in her
opening presentation in Nashville.

Possible EPA Involvement

Carolyn said next week she will be attending a White House Roundtable on watersheds and she
plans to meet with Katie Flahive of the USEPA to discuss EPA membership on the Steering
Committee.

Next Meeting

Our next call will be on the morning of Friday, March 16th, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. EST.

Respectfully Submitted,

       /s/
