SIGNIFICANT EVENTS

07/01 400 block of Valley Drive                           Informational
      While on routine patrol at 0305 hours, an officer located a suspicious vehicle and
      subject. The subject was in possession of car parts taken from the dumpster. It
      was later verified by the manager of the business that the items were discarded
      and had no value; however the subject did not have permission to take them. The
      items were turned back over to the manager. This case was taken for information
      only. Report #12-0701-0001.

07/02 Monarch Dr/Mission Blue                             Burglary
      The reporting party stated that sometime between 6/29/12 and 7/2/12 an unknown
      suspect took approximately $740 worth of tools and first aid supplies. The
      suspect(s) forced open the fence to gain entry. There is no suspect information at
      this time. This case has been suspended pending any further leads. Report

07/03 3700 block of Bayshore Blvd                        Vehicle Burglary
      While on routine patrol at 2359 hours, an officer located an unoccupied vehicle
      with a smashed window. The vehicle appeared to have been rifled through. The
      owner was contacted and stated he was missing his pocket knife from his glove
      box. There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended
      pending further leads. Report #12-0703-0001.

07/03 400 block of Sierra Point Road                     Dog Bite
      Officers responded to a report of a dog bite. Upon arrival family members stated
      their two dogs, which are normally well behaved, were in a fight over food. When
      the owner tried to break up the fight, she was bit on the hand. The owners
      requested that the dog not be removed from the home by SPCA. Report was taken
      and will be forwarded to SPCA for follow up. Case closed.

07/03 Unit block of Santa Clara      Possession of Controlled Substance/Paraphernalia
      At 2156 hours, officers contacted subjects inside a suspicious vehicle parked on
      the fire trail. One subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and
      a glass pipe. A records check also revealed a warrant for $50,000 out of Menlo
      Park. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the San Mateo
      County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0703-0004.

07/04 Unit block of Annis                                    Petty Theft
      Reporting party advised that on 7/4/12 at 0137 hours, an unknown suspect(s)
      entered his unlocked vehicle and took $70.00 in US currency. The victim was
      able to give a brief description. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0704-0001.

07/04 Margret and Kings Road                             Grand Theft
      Reporting parties stated that sometime between 7/3/12 at 2100 hours and 7/4/12 at
      0730 hours, an unknown suspect(s) entered ten unlocked vehicles and took items
      from them. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0704-0002.

07/06 400 block of Industrial Way                         Animal Cruelty
      On 7/6/12 at 1030 hours, an officer responded to a report of animal cruelty that
      consisted of deplorable housing. After assessing the property with the Peninsula
      Humane Society, officers found no signs of abuse or neglect. No merit to city
      code violations or animal abuse. Case closed. Report #12-0706-0001.

07/08 Unit block of Park Place                          Petty Theft
      Reporting party advised that sometime between 7/7/12 at 1800 hours and 7/8/12
      at 1645 hours, an unknown suspect(s) took four fence planters and two large clay
      pots from the Dog Park. The total loss is approximately $154.00. There is no
      suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending any

07/08 200 block of San Benito Rd                          Suspicious Circumstance
      Reporting party advised that on 7/8/12 between 1300 hours and 1900 hours, an
      unknown subject entered the residence through a window. The subject took an
      empty backpack and nothing else was taken or disturbed. The reporting party
      believes the subject may have been a roommate that left without giving notice.
      Reporting party declined any further police assistance at this time. Case taken for

07/10 600 Swallowtail Ct                                 Hit and Run
      Reporting party advised that sometime between 6/30/12 and 7/10/12, an unknown
      vehicle struck his parked vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene. This
      case has been suspended due to lack of suspect information. Report #12-0710-
      0002.

07/12 Sierra Point Parkway at Lagoon                      Child Endangerment
      On 7/12/12 at 1143 hours, a reporting party advised that a male driver was on
      S/B101 with a young child on his lap and they had just exited on Sierra Point
      Parkway. The subject, later identified as the father of the 2 year child, was
      stopped by responding officers. During the stop it was revealed that the driver did
      not have a child seat or any child items including diapers, food and water. The
      father was unaware of the law. Case taken to be forwarded to the District
      Attorney’s office and Child Protective Services for review. Report #12-0712-

07/13 300 block of Alvarado St                             Attempted Burglary
      Reporting party advised that on 7/12/12 between 1250 hours and 1700 hours, an
      unknown suspect(s) attempted to pry open a window with their hands. The
      suspect(s) did not gain entry into the home. There is no suspect information at this
      time. This case has been suspended pending any further leads.

07/13 Bayshore and Old County                            Petty Theft
      An anonymous reporting party advised that three glass walls of the bus stop had
      been removed. One wall of glass was found nearby on the ground. The reporting
      party was unable to determine a date or time this incident occurred. The loss is
      approx $600. There is no suspect information at this time. Case suspended
      pending any further leads. Report #12-0713-0002.

07/14 100 block of South Hill Dr                               Fire
      While on patrol at 0400 hours, an officer smelled smoke and noticed a tree had
      caught fire. No damage to nearby structures. Evidence of a transient camp was
      located at the origin of the fire. It is suspected that the fire was most likely caused
      by a makeshift campfire. There is no suspect information at this time. This case
      has been suspended pending further information. Report #12-0714-0001.

07/14 100 block of North Hill Dr                           Grand Theft
      Reporting party advised that his bicycle had been taken on 7/14/12 between 1830
      hours and 1845 hours. The bicycle had been placed up against a wall while he
      moved items from storage to his vehicle. The bicycle was not secured. The
      bicycle is valued at $2446.44. The bicycle has not been located and the suspect
      has not been identified. This case is ongoing. Report #12-0714-0002.

07/15 Unit block of Visitacion Ave                       Assault and Battery
      On 7/15/12 at 0133 hours, officers responded to a medical aid. Upon arrival a
      witness stated an unknown male subject was involved in a physical altercation
      with another male patron. The unknown male subject struck the patron on the
      head and the patron fell to the floor. The unknown male subject then left the
      scene. This subject has not been identified. The patron was transported to the
      hospital. There is no suspect information and the patron is unable to recall the
      incident. This case has been suspended pending further information.

07/16 200 block of Kings Rd                                 Verbal Dispute
      A mother and daughter verbally argued about the responsibilities of motherhood
      and child care. The daughter no longer lives with the mother, but the mother was
      taking care of the grandchildren. The daughter agreed to pick up the children later
      and both parties advised to call police if any further assistance was needed. Case
      taken for information. Report #12-0716-0001.

07/16 Unit block of San Bruno Ave                         Burglary
      The reporting party advised that sometime between 7/12/12 at 1700 hours and
      7/16/12 at 1000 hours, an unknown suspect(s) took a bicycle tire and rim from a
      bicycle. The bicycle was locked to a rack in a secured garage. It was determined
      that entry was made through the openings in the security bars on the windows.
      The estimated cost of the tire and rim is approximately $200. There is no suspect
      information at this time. This case has been suspended pending any further leads.

07/16 3800 block of Bayshore Blvd                         Vandalism
      Reporting party advised that the rear window in her vehicle had been smashed.
      The window was fixed prior to the officers’ arrival. The vehicle had been parked
      on the roadway and there is no suspect information at this time. This case has
      been suspended pending any further leads or suspect information.

07/21 Lagoon at Tunnel                              Driving Under the Influence
      On 07/21/12 at 0430 hours, an officer stopped a driver for failing to stop at a stop
      sign. Subsequent investigation revealed the driver had been driving while under
      the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to First Chance
      where he was cited and released. Case closed. Report# 12-0721-0001.

07/22 200 block of Fox Sparrow                      Domestic Related Incident
      Reporting party advised that her daughter and husband were in a verbal dispute
      in their home. She was worried about the children who were also in the home.
      Officers confirmed the argument was verbal only. There was not sufficient
      probable cause to arrest or charge either with a crime. Case closed.

07/24 400 block of Sierra Point Parkway             Vandalism
      Reporting party advised that sometime between 07/23/12 at 1930 hours and
      07/24/12 at 0700 hours, an unknown suspect vandalized his vehicle. The vehicle
      had 8 horizontal scratch marks from the rear to the front of the vehicle. There is
      no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended pending further
      leads or suspect information. Report #12-0724-0001.

07/24 400 block of Visitacion Ave                  Domestic Violence
      On 7/21/12 at 1344 hours, officers responded to a welfare check of a female
      subject. Subsequent investigation revealed the female’s husband had kicked her in
      the leg several days prior leaving visible marks. The husband was later arrested
      and transported to San Mateo County Jail. Case closed. Report #12-0724-0002.

07/30 300 block of Valley Dr                        Grand Theft
      Reporting party advised that sometime between 7/27/12 and 7/30/12, an unknown
      suspect(s) took four truck batteries from trucks parked in the lot. Total loss $1000.
      There is no suspect information at this time. This case has been suspended
      pending further leads or suspect information.

07/30 Unit block of Visitacion Ave                 Tampering with a Vehicle
      Reporting party advised that sometime between 07/29/12 and 7/30/12, an
      unknown suspect flattened her tires by letting the air out and placing nails near
      her tires. Estimated cost of damage is $95. There is no suspect information at this
      time. This case has been suspended pending any further leads or suspect

07/31 200 block Old County Rd                    Petty Theft
      Reporting party advised that on 7/30/12 between 1910 and 1950 hours, an
      unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and took his iPhone and wallet.
      Estimated loss is approximately $700. There is no suspect information. This case
      has been suspended pending any further leads or suspect information.

CODE ENFORCEMENT

07/07 500 block of Alvarado St                             Blocked Driveway
      On 7/7/12 at 1759 hours, an officer responded to a call of a blocked driveway.
      The officer was unable to locate a responsible party. Vehicle towed, case closed.
