Press Relations & Sports Information
The Sports Information Office provides a variety of support roles for student-athletes and
the media who cover Leopard athletics. Any questions pertaining to the media should be
directed to the Sports Information Office.
There are some simple guidelines in dealing with the media at the University of La Verne:
All media interviews are to be arranged through the Sports Information Office. In the
event that an interview is scheduled/requested or taken without the direct consent of the
Sports Information Director, the party interviewed should notify the Sports Information
The Sports Information Office will not give out telephone numbers of the student-
athletes unless consent is given by the athlete and/or the head coach.
No exchange with a member of the media should ever be considered “off the record”!
Every student-athlete is required to fill out an Athletic Information sheet. These sheets will be
provided by your head coach prior to the season.
