OFFICE FACTS: The Week of Sept. 4 – Sept. 7
What a wonderful first week of school! I truly hope your Labor Day
weekend was restful and restorative. Thank you for getting the children here in an
orderly fashion. The day to day activities of the school, like lunch and other
transitions have all been learned well and are being followed by the students which
allows for maximum instruction and learning time. This morning’s weekly Mass
was beautiful, and the children all did wonderfully. As teachers we strive to encourage and train your children
to think critically; to analyze and synthesize information. I would like you to consider that while we are
mindful of cultivating higher level thinking skills in your children, we believe that a solid learning foundation
should be made with activities that also include memorization, and comprehension. Please help us lay this
foundation by encouraging your children to memorize things like the multiplication tables and beautiful poetry
or songs. These activities strengthen the mind for more important thinking later. Have a wonderful week.
God bless you all –
Sincerely in Christ,
Jamie Marshall, Principal
9/11 CEREMONY: We will be holding a memorial service on Tuesday, September 11th. As in the past, we
will conduct a brief ceremony outside of school before our day begins. If you are an active member of a
branch of the armed services, law enforcement, fire, or EMT and would like to participate in uniform, please
let the school office know by Monday, September 10th. This is a prayerful observance commemorating the 11-
year anniversary of this event and the lives it impacted. The students will line up by class in front of the school
with their teachers. Parents are welcome to participate by lining up along the sidewalk which runs parallel to
the front of the school. At the end of the ceremony the children will proceed silently with their teachers into
the school, maintaining the prayerful atmosphere.
Wednesday Envelopes: Please return all Wednesday Envelopes to school tomorrow. Sign the envelope
indicating that you have reviewed the contents.
NEW FAMILIES (PRINCIPAL’S COFFEE): Come join us on Monday, September 17th for “Coffee with the
Principal” in the Fine Arts room after morning drop-off. This is an excellent time for questions or comments
you may have, as well as fellowship with some other new parents. Look for an invitation in your Wednesday
envelope and please RSVP to the school office.
CANDYMAN ORDERS: CandyMan orders are due Tuesday, September 11th.
T-SHIRTS: There are lots of new uniform T-shirts available in all sizes!! Pick up an order form at the front

fundraiser of the year!
