Abstract: Abstract: This teaching case uses storytelling to illustrate how a missing set of
cabinets can be the innovative spark that causes an existing company to enter a new line of
business. The story arc demonstrates that intrapreneurship is the preferred vehicle for fostering
corporate innovation. The plot line requires students to demonstrate their understanding of how
management accountants can use their skill sets to assist in the preparation of a Proof of
        Concept presentation.

Keywords: Innovation, Intrapreneur, Proof of Concept, Management Accounting
