									                          MAPLE HOMEWORK (Week 6 – DRAGONS)
ENGLISH: Due in Tuesday, 16th October

 Title: WALT use homophones correctly. Write a sentence for each of the following homophones: to, too and two.
   Record this in your Reading Journal. If you find this difficult, try to devise a way of remembering which to, too or two is
   which!

MATHS: Due in Tuesday, 16th October
TITLE: My Maths homework
 Please complete the maths homework, which was set by your Maths teacher. Any work should be recorded in your
    Homework Book, unless it is being completed on MyMaths.

TOPIC: Due in Tuesday, 16th October
 Develop, decorate and improve your Blockdog in preparation for our Dog show.
 As soon as you have finished developing your new pet, please return it to its natural habitat – our classroom.

ART: Due in MONDAY 15th October!
 Please try and bring in an unopened tin that would make an interesting subject for a still-life sketch. You will be able to
   take the tin home after the session itself.

***MESSAGE FOR PARENTS/CARERS***
 Please encourage your child to bring their football socks to school on a daily basis; green football schools are part of the
   school uniform for Key Stage 2 and have been for a number of years now. Due to recent weather conditions, a change of
   socks is essential in order to take part in our daily cross-country running sessions.
 We should complete our 2012 Gold Challenge sometime in the next couple of weeks. As soon as we have passed our
   2012km target we will let you know and children may then begin to bring sponsor money into the school office.

TITLE: Can I identify words containing ‘‘ar’, ‘or’, ‘er’?
 Make a list of words that contain the letter strings ‘ar’, ‘or’, and ‘er’ (at least 5 for each). Examples may include: park,
    work, jumper. Use the website www.morewords.com for ideas if you need them
 Use some of the words to write 5 sentences about a subject of your choice – maybe Blockdog care?
 Record all of your work in your Reading Journal.
