Main goals of Nova KBM in 2009 – 2011
                    To maintain a strong position in Slovenia and continue
                    to be the leading institution within the Nova KBM Group.


Development priority tasks
   Introduction of the new capital accord (BASEL II)
   Establishment of the Single Euro Payments Area – SEPA
   Continuation of activities in connection with the Slovenian credit scoring information system SISBON
   Upgrading of electronic banking
   Development of an automated reporting system within the Group

Strategic objectives
 To enhance the position of an “all-Slovenian” bank (after integrating PBS into the Nova KBM Group all
    regional centres are covered with an agency)
   To transform NKBM into a more flexible organisation (refurbishing of business processes considering a

From a city savings bank…
   1862   Mestna hranilnica Maribor (Maribor city savings bank) starts its operations
   1948   Mestna hranilnica Maribor closes its doors
   1952   Mestna hranilnica Maribor with its headquarters in Maribor is re-established
   1955   Komunalna banka Maribor is set up (renamed into Okrajna banka in the same year)
   1962   Merger of Mestna hranilnica Maribor and Okrajna banka takes place
   1965   Mestna hranilnica Maribor and Okrajna banka renamed into Kreditna Banka Maribor (which
          acts as a commercial and investment bank)
   1978   Merger with 22 other banks into Ljubljanska banka – Združena banka

   1990   Kreditna banka Maribor becomes a joint-stock company
   1991   Start of Group formation

   1993   KBM leaves Ljubljanska banka – Združena banka
          State sponsored rehabilitation process starts

           incorporation of the pension insurance company Moja naložba d.d.
    2001   Acquisition of a 25.04% stake in Adria Bank AG
    2004   Acquisition of a 55% stake in Poštna banka Slovenije d.d. (Slovenian Post Bank) and
           incorporation of M Pay d.o.o. (together with Mobitel d.d., Slovenian mobile operator)
    2005   Multiconsult d.o.o. starts its activities
    2006   Multiconsult Leasing d.o.o. starts its activities
    2007   The increase of ownership in Adria Bank AG to 50.54%
