 Sessions will be held in the Dartford Girls Grammar School, Gymnastics Hall. On accepting a place in the club you are
agreeing to the terms and conditions provided below.

 Encourage your child to learn the rules and participate within them

 Discourage challenging / arguing with officials

 Publicly accept officials’ judgments

 Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results

 Set a good example by recognising good sportsmanship and applauding the good performances of all

 Never force your child to take part in sport

 Always ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the activity and has plenty to drink, any gymnast who normally wears
glasses MUST wear them whilst doing gymnastics.

 Keep the club informed if your child is ill or unable to attend sessions; if the gymnast has been unwell or injured they should
not train until they are completely well again. Training whilst unfit can lead to something more serious. Parents will be
contacted to take them home, if a coach feels they are unfit to train. Please note after a broken limb a doctor’s note or
notification will need to be provided before the gymnast can join in the class fully again.

 Endeavour to establish good communications with the club, coaches and officials for the benefit of all

 Share any concerns or complaints about any aspect of the club through the approved channels

 Use correct and proper language at all times

 Never punish or belittle a child for poor performance or making mistakes

 If attending a class parents or guardians must drop off their children 5 minutes prior to a class beginning, children must be
signed in at the desk before they are allowed through into the gymnastics hall. No Child is allowed to walk into gym on
their own unless pre-agreed with the Elements Staff
 Always collect your child promptly at the end of a session from the gym hall, unless we have received written confirmation
before a class begins; regarding other means of travelling home. Coaches are not responsible for them after the session has
finished. Children will not be allowed to leave the gym without someone present to pick them up

 Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport

 Parents and visitors are asked not to remain whilst the session is in progress, as this can cause distractions to the gymnasts
and possibly lead to injury but they may wait outside the hall to watch.

 Photography is NOT allowed during sessions or competitions without the express permission of the coach. Never use Flash
    photography.
