The Clinical Pharmacology Department at Genentech, Inc. is seeking Ph.D. level
Associate Scientists and Scientists who are driven to use quantitative approaches to
understand the Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of novel drug
candidates. This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation
of the Modeling and Simulation strategy that is aligned with project needs in order to
ensure that the right drug is administered to the right patient at the right dose and
regimen. The modeling and simulation activities include population models, translational
models, physiologically based models, disease models, exposure-response models,
biomarker-efficacy models, trial simulations and other state of the art techniques.
Key technical responsibilities are to organize, execute and report modeling and
simulation under minimal supervision, as well as to present work at cross-functional
teams, department meetings and conferences. Other responsibilities will include
planning, writing and reviewing relevant clinical documents such as study protocols,
analysis plans, reports and regulatory documents. These will be accomplished by
working in close partnership with other scientists in Clinical Pharmacology, Drug
Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Research, Biostatistics and project teams.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. with a minimum of 2 - 5 years of industry and/or
academic experience in relevant modeling.
