                   Champions of Scotland 2009 – Conditions of Entry


1)Disclaimer Liability: The term Exhibitor shall include persons taking part in any competition or display
arranged by the Show Committee, and the owner of any animal, plant machinery or any other thing involved
in any such competition or display or otherwise exhibited on the show ground. Save for death, personal
injury caused by breach of its duty the BS Scottish Branch shall not be responsible for death, injury, disease,
damage or loss caused to any Exhibitor or to her servant or agent or any animal, article, machinery or thing
of whatever nature brought on to the Showground by the said Exhibitor from whatever cause death, injury,
disease or loss arises. Save as foresaid the Exhibitor shall indemnify the BS Scottish Branch against all
claims, damages and expenses whatsoever in any way arising out of the presence of the Exhibitor, his or her
servants, exhibits, vehicles or equipment on the Showground and shall assume full responsibility therefore.
Acceptance of the foregoing provisions shall be a condition of entry. Exhibitors are advised to insure against
Fire and other appropriate risk not only as regards their own property but also against third party claims.

2) Conditions of Admittance: Persons are admitted to the Showground at their own risk and while every
endeavour is taken to ensure their safety, the committee will not(save for death, personal injury caused by
the negligence of the committee, its servants or agents) be responsible for personal injury(whether fatal or
otherwise), loss of or damage to property and any loss, damage, costs and expenses however caused.

3) Car parking Conditions: persons are admitted to the show car parks at their own risk and vehicles and
their accessories and contents are admitted to be left at the owner’s risk, and, while every endeavour is taken
to ensure the safety thereof, the committee will not(save for death, personal injury
(whether fatal or otherwise), loss, damage, costs and expenses however caused.

4. Right of Entry: The committee reserves the right to refuse entry without disclosing the reason for so
doing. All exhibitors will be responsible for actions of their grooms, owners and families.

5. Vehicles: No Juniors ( under 16 ) allowed on quad bikes except with a responsible adult in attendance.
Safety helmets must be worn.

6. Objections: Objections must be made to the Secretary in accordance with Rule 198. A cash deposit of
£100 must accompany the objection, within 30 minutes of competitors leaving the ring after presentation of
awards.

7. Entries: We would encourage you to send your entries to the Secretary before the Show, particularly
with regard to the first class each morning. Entries on the day will be taken subject to class limits not being
exceeded. NO refunds will be issued after the start of any class.
All competitions will be judged under current BS Rules and Regulations. Attention is particularly drawn to
Rule 82.21 which states ‘No member will allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lesee,
authorised agent or rider to compete, or be prepared to compete, in any show jumping competition without
taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public are not put at risk of injury’.

Please note that in order the show runs smoothly, it may be necessary to alter classes between rings

Area Team Rules
Areas can amalgamate. Final at Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival 2010.

Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any senior international team
(Nations Cups, World, European championships or Olympics) are not eligible to be the
rider of the 1m or 1.10m horse. Pony riders children, young riders or juniors who have
competed in international teams (Nations Cup, International team events, European
Championships) in the last 5 years are also not eligible to be the rider of the 1m or 1.10m
horse. Includes Veteran teams. 4 Horses of any grade make up the team

1 x 1.10m not to be ridden by anyone in top 250 on list 327
1x 1.20 not to be ridden by anyone in top 150 in ranking list on list 327 and

Best 3 to count Horses or riders may only compete in one team. In the case of a jump off
either the team captain or the 3rd rider will be elected to jump off.
In the final one horse may be substituted if deemed unfit to compete (Vet cert must be
obtained). Rider of unfit horse has 1st option to find suitable substitution. Otherwise
horse/rider combination can be substituted. One other horse/rider substitution will be
permitted providing permission is obtained from the original qualifying person



2nd DAY. SATURDAY. RING 3 (grass) . START AT 9am prompt.
NB Class 24 is drawn order. All entries must be received by 6pm on Friday. Entries may be accepted on
the day before 9am providing pre entries are less than 60. All entries taken on the day must compete first
in the drawn order. Once entries reach 60 on the day the class will be closed.
CLASS 23. Pony 80cms Open with no doubles or combinations. For registered ponies only.

                                 Directions to Howe.
  Howe County Centre is situated on the B937 approximately 1 mile from the
  junction with the A91 (Trafalguar Junction)
  Travelling from the south follow the M90 from the Forth Road Bridge to
  Junction 8 signed St Andrews A91. Follow this road through the villages of
  Gateside & Auchtermuchty. Approximately 2 miles from Auchtermuchty
  there is a staggered cross roads (Trafalguar Junction) at this junction turn
  right it is signed B937 Giffordtown also Fife Animal Park. Go past the
   Animal Park we are approx 1/2 mile on the right just before the village of
   Giffordtown. Big green buildings and flag poles at the road end!

Entries can only be swopped on the day if already entered on that day & will be subject to surcharge

   All evening meals will be served in the upstairs function area
   and should be pre-ordered by 7.30pm to avoid
   disappointment.

   There will be evening entertainment provided on site.
