Cocoa shells into electricity – A sweet success!
A very good synergy was achieved when Lindt USA made the decision to process their cocoa
Corporate Partners beans into chocolate at their Stratham factory site and approached PSNH about recycling the
in Respiratory Health cocoa bean shells, or husks, at Schiller Station in Portsmouth. This is a winning combination of
recycling and renewable power!
The PSNH Power Pushers bike tour team holds the coveted Golden Bike Top Team Fund Raising
Trophy from 2011 and Lindt donates a chocolate goody basket to the Tour raffle.
“The essential ingredient is employees who believe in social outreach and community involve-
ment,” says John MacDonald, PSNH’s VP of Generation and a long-time Bike Tour participant.
