SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY: The position is responsible for providing marketing and communication
expertise on production of creative projects, identifying areas for process efficiencies within the
group and/or using technology to improve the materials creation process.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Provide operational coordination for communications projects across the department and
      in some cases manage specific marketing or web-related projects, acting as liaison with
      Communications and other departments.
    Create and manage department project management process through online tracking
      system, e.g. Project Insight.
    Assist with the development and creation of marketing collateral.
    Work closely with designers, copy writers, web team, marketing specialists and project
      owners to discuss business objectives and project requirements.
    Work independently and with other team members on special projects.
    Establish project goals and deliverables, review projects against marketing objectives.
    Develop and/or contribute ideas to the overall communications brief and other project
      management related documents; analyze content and offer suggestions to improve
      structure.
    Develop time schedules; provide all involved parties with ongoing status updates on
      project execution and deliverables.
    Coordinate projects with external vendors and with internal and external fulfillment
      resources
    Develop and update production schedules and communicate cost estimates
    Process and track invoices, ensure vendor compliance with contracted rates
    Proven ability to communicate effectively with sales/marketing professionals, product
      team members, and other asset management departments in order to deliver materials
      in an accurate and timely manner

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
     Strong managerial experience; experience managing a creative team
     Attention to detail and accuracy
     Strong initiative combined with good interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully
      with others to accomplish an objective
     Strong project and process management skills with an ability to work well under
      timeframe pressure
     Strong verbal and writing skills
     Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software applications
     Proficiency in production management software
     Professional demeanor with a sense of humor and maturity
    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
      Bachelors degree and 5+ years equivalent training and experience
      Ability to work with minimal supervision, attention to detail and ability to deliver quality
       work on time while managing multiple projects
     Experience leading multi-channel (online and offline) marketing programs
     Strong analytical and data management skills with ability to make recommendations
       from information
     Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate
       and interact with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally
     Strong planning and organizational skills
     Project management skills within a creative services environment
