Operations Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Analyst will assist the Operations Manager to ensure the
effective development and delivery of web-based physician assessment tools. The individual will
act as a liaison to other departments at ABIM who interact with the PIM Development operations
team, including responding to or triaging technical and other issues associated with delivering the
PIMs and operating other programs related to the self-assessment of practice performance. In
addition, this individual will work on, and lead, various projects as assigned. The individual will
work with others to identify opportunities to improve the products as well as the efficiency and
effectiveness of processes related to their support. S/he will regularly provide PIM Development
Management with feedback about operations, and implement changes to department operations
as called for.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

       Work with other departments at ABIM to support the effective delivery of practice
        assessment products and programs, including:
           o Act as the primary point of contact for escalated product support issues.
           o Coordinate efforts with other departments related to changes in product offerings
               or requirements
           o Provide information about the products to other departments to ensure effective
               communications and customer support
           o Coordinate efforts with other departments that utilize the products in their
               programs to ensure effective delivery of those programs
       Work with external partners and vendors as needed to ensure smooth delivery of
        contracted products and/or programs to diplomates
       Assist with departmental projects as needed.
       Assist the Product Developer with product testing and quality assurance as needed.
       Track and review data about product performance and identify areas that require
        attention or could be improved as well as strategies to address those areas
       Work with others to identify opportunities to streamline or improve operations processes
        and procedures

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

       Desire to become a product subject matter expert, and be knowledgeable about the
        various healthcare environments that affect ABIM diplomates and stakeholders.
       Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of ABIM
        staff, Board members, officials, physicians, and external stakeholders.
       Analytic and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret, synthesize and report data, and
        carry out complex instructions.
       Ability to take responsibility for a problem until it is solved
       Strong proficiency in MS Office software products (Word, Access, Excel, Project, Visio,
        Outlook).
       Ability and desire to learn new software applications.
       Excellent communication skills.
       Ability to demonstrate initiative and flexibility; must be able to work independently, as well
        as a member or leader of a team.
       Undergraduate degree required. Education and/or experience in the healthcare industry
        a plus.
