Are you planning an educational event or activity during the 2012-2013 academic year?
Do you need funds to participate in or host this activity? If so, your event may qualify for
monetary support through SAFAC! For eligibility, the event must take place during 2012-2013
academic year and directly involve or benefit Collin College students.

Interested parties must complete a SAFAC Funding Request Form and provide the following items:
1) a supporting statement,
2) an itemized expense list, and
3) documentation for each expense item.
Individuals needing assistance to complete the necessary paperwork may contact and schedule an
appointment with Lynda Gates lgates@collin.edu, Michael Gregorash mgregorash@collin.edu,
or Deanna Guess dguess@collin.edu.

Completed paperwork must be submitted to Student Life. The Director of Student Life and the
SAFAC Chair will review each request. Once your documentation has been reviewed, you will
receive e-mail verification on the status of your request. Completed requests will be assigned a
meeting date, time, and location. Time slots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
A maximum of five (5) completed requests will be heard at each SAFAC meeting. If more than
five (5) requests are received by the submission deadline, the additional requests will be deferred to
the next meeting.

Although it is not required, at least one person from your organization or department should
attend the SAFAC meeting. Individuals will be given an opportunity to present an overview of the
group’s proposal and answer questions from the committee.
