									                               STATEMENT OF FAITH

This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself
is the sole and final authority of all that we believe. We do believe that this Statement of
Faith accurately represents the teaching of the Bible, and therefore is binding upon all
members.

WE BELIEVE:

         1. HOLY BIBLE: The Holy Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit of God. It
is the complete revelation of God to man. It is the standard by which all human conduct,
creeds and opinions should be tried.
The Bible is the collection of sixty-six (66) books from Genesis to Revelation,
which as originally written, not only contains and conveys the Word of God, but IS the
very Word of God.
Inspiration means that the books of the Bible were written by holy men as they
were moved by the Holy Spirit, in such a definite way that their writings were verbally
inspired and free from error.

        2. GOD: There is only one living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit,
the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. He is glorious in holiness, and
worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love.
He is the Triune God who exists eternally in three persons - the Father, the Son,
and the Holy Spirit. They are equal in perfection, co-eternal in being, co-identical in
nature and co-equal in power and glory. Each person has the same attributes and
performs diverse but harmonious duties in the work of redemption.

         3. JESUS CHRIST: Jesus Christ is the eternal, pre-existent Son of God. Born
of the Virgin Mary by miraculous conception and virgin birth, he is fully God and fully
man. He lived a sinless life and then offered Himself as a sacrifice on the cross for the
sins of all people. He was buried and on the third day He arose bodily from the grave.
He later ascended bodily into heaven where He now sits at the right hand of the Father
and intercedes for those who believe on Him.

         4. HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit is a divine person. As the Third Person of
the trinity, He is equal to God the Father and God the Son. He actively ministered in the
Old Testament through creation, inspiration of scriptures, and in a special manner with
men. The Holy Spirit was active in all aspects of Christ’s life, from His birth to His death
and resurrection. The Holy Spirit has a ministry in salvation as He convicts, regenerates
and then indwells, enables, teaches, guides, assures and intercedes for believers.

        5. RETURN OF CHRIST: We believe in the pre-tribulational, pre-millennial
rapture which is the personal, imminent, bodily Return of Christ, at which time He will
rapture His church prior to the seven-year tribulation period. At the end of the
tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His
earthly Messianic Kingdom for one thousand years.
         6. ANGELS: There are holy, elect angels and unholy, fallen angels (demons).
The elect angels minister on behalf of God to believers, to nations of the world and to
unbelievers. They also had a significant ministry to Christ.

         7. SATAN: Satan, who was once holy, fell because of his pride and ambition
to be as God. Satan persuaded a host of angels to follow him. Satan is now the prince of
the power of the air and uses his abilities in an attempt to oppose God at every level. At
the final judgment, Satan and all of his demons will be cast into the lake of fire.

        8. SALVATION: Salvation is the gift of God given to man by grace and
received by personal faith in Jesus Christ, Whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for
the forgiveness of all sin.

        9. MAN: Man was created in the image and likeness of God, but because of
Adam’s sin the entire human race fell. As a result, all human beings are born with a
sinful nature and will face not only physical death, but also spiritual death (which is
separation from God). Man can only be redeemed by God’s grace through Jesus Christ.

        10. ETERNAL SECURITY: Eternal Security of believers as taught in the
scriptures that once an individual is saved, he/she is kept by God’s power and is secure in
Christ forever.

        11. CHURCH: The Church of Christ is to be understood in two senses,
universal and local. In the universal sense, the church consists of all those during this
dispensation (church age) who have been born of God’s Spirit and has therefore been
baptized into the body of Christ. In the local sense, a church is a called-out assembly of
baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith, organized by New Testament
principles and assembling regularly together. The local church is led by a qualified
pastor under the discipline of God’s Word and the head-ship of Christ. The purpose of
the local church is to express praise and glory to God by evangelizing the lost and
equipping the saved and to observe the ordinances.

        12. ORDINANCES: The ordinances of the church are Christian baptism and
the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is the one time immersion in water of a believer in the name
of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The purpose is to show our faith in the
crucified, buried and risen Savior. Baptism is a prerequisite to the privileges of church
membership. The Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ as a reminder of His sacrificial
death and is to be observed by His people in a worthy manner until He returns. The
elements of bread and the cup are symbols of the Lord’s body and blood given and
poured out for the sins of the world. In this local church, membership is not a
prerequisite to participate in the Lord’s Supper. However, a person needs to be born
again and walking with Christ.

        13. GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT: As described in the scriptures, God gifts and
enables believers with His Spirit; however, Speaking in tongues was never the necessary
sign of the baptism of the Spirit, nor of the filling of the Spirit.
        14. EVANGELISM: The command to evangelize the world is clear and
unmistakable and this commission was given to each individual of the church body.

        15. CREATION: The Genesis account of creation of six, twenty-four hour
periods is to be accepted literally. Man was created directly in God’s own image and
after His own likeness and was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of
species from lower to higher forms. All animal and plant life were made by God. His
established law was that they should bring forth after their kind.

         16. HEAVEN AND HELL: Heaven and hell are both literal places, and are
the eternal homes of the righteous and wicked, respectively. Heaven is where God the
Father sits, and will sit in judgment on all. The only way to enter Heaven is by personal
faith in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and the blood that He
shed for us for our sins. Hell, which was created for the devil and his angels, will receive
the wicked as their just and eternal punishment for disbelief in Jesus Christ.

         17. RESURRECTION OF ALL MEN: We believe in the bodily resurrection
of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting
punishment. The souls of believers are at death absent from the body and present with
the Lord where they await the first resurrection. At this first resurrection the spirit, soul,
and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord. After death, the soul and
spirit of the unbeliever remain in conscious punishment and torment until the second
resurrection. At this second resurrection, the soul and body will be reunited and shall
appear at the Great White Throne Judgment. They will then be cast into the Lake of Fire
to suffer everlasting conscious punishment and torment.

         18. AUTHORITY: God has ordained and created all authority consisting of
three basic institutions: [a] the home; [b] the church; and [c] the state. Every person is
subject to these authorities, but all (including the authorities themselves) are answerable
to God and governed by His Word. God has given each institution specific Biblical
responsibilities and balanced those responsibilities with the understanding that no
institution has the right to infringe upon the other.

       19. MORALITY: God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be
engaged in outside of marriage between a man and a woman. Any form of
homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery or
pornography is a sinful perversion of God’s gift of sex.
        20. DIVORCE: God hates divorce and intends marriage to last until one spouse
dies. Although divorced, remarried or un-remarried persons may hold positions of
service in the church and be greatly used of God for Christian service, they may not be
considered for the office of pastor or deacon.

        21. HUMAN LIFE: We believe that human life begins at conception; an
unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the taking of an unborn
human life. Abortion is murder. We reject any teaching that abortions due to rape,
incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the mental well-
being of the mother are acceptable.

       22. TITHES AND OFFERINGS: God’s method of financing His work of
spreading the Gospel to all nations, the care of the churches, and the support of the
ministry is by the tithes and offerings of His people. It is to be given to the Lord through
His church to be distributed as directed by the leadership of the Spirit as the need arises.
Everyone is accountable to the Lord for at least one-tenth of his income.
