Baked Acorn Squash This is one of the entrées recommended in the Quickie Recipe section of the Appendix in Devoted Bodies. But you may not know how to prepare an acorn squash so here goes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut the squash in half (see methods below). Sprinkle squash halves with garlic or onion powder and place halves cut-sides down in baking dish. Add ½ cup water to bottom of pan. Bake 30 minutes or until soft (insert knife to determine).
