Financial Assistance at Indian Hills
    More than 80% of Indian Hills’ students receive some form of financial assistance. Our Financial
Aid staff is ready to help you find the most affordable way to get your education.
    The Indian Hills Foundation awards more than $1.2 million in scholarships to nearly 600
students each year. There are many other types of scholarships available, too. High school
valedictorians and salutatorians receive free tuition at Indian Hills.
    In order to begin the financial aid process, students must complete a FAFSA (Free Application for
Federal Student Aid) form online by going to www.fafsa.gov. IHCC’s FAFSA college code is 008298
for students planning to enroll in courses offered on the Main Campus, North Campus or at the
IHCC County Service Centers and 001849 for students taking courses on the Centerville Campus.
Since the financial aid process takes several months, students are encouraged to complete the
FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1.

Online Courses and Programs
   IHCC has a robust online learning program. More than 250 online courses are offered in
subjects related to the arts and sciences, career and technical programs and health occupations.
Online continuing education and skill-building courses are also available. New online courses that
use the latest educational technologies and multimedia are continuously being developed.
   In addition to individual online courses, Indian Hills now offers the Associate of Arts degree, as
well as the Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology, entirely online.
A number of diploma and certificate programs are also available online. Indian Hills offers several
courses and programs in a blended-learning format that includes a mixture of online and on-
campus classes. Students may also complete Aviation Ground School courses fully online, as part
of earning an A.A.S. degree in Aviation Pilot Training.

County Service Centers
   In addition to the Main Campus and North Campus in Ottumwa and the Centerville Campus,
Indian Hills has a network of service centers that offer a variety of services with flexible day,
evening and weekend schedules. These service centers are conveniently located in Albia,
Bloomfield, Chariton, Corydon, Fairfield, Keosauqua, Oskaloosa and Sigourney. Students can enroll
in courses to earn credits toward an Indian Hills degree or learn new skills by taking continuing
education classes at these centers. Students also have access to computer labs at each site as well
as academic advising and course textbook pick-up services.

   You’ll find many student activities at Indian Hills. The student senate schedules events like game
shows, hypnotists and musical groups each month. Intramural sports, like flag football and dodge-
ball, are popular and attract students of all skill levels.
   The college sponsors 46 clubs and organizations, many of them in individual academic pro-
grams, that provide opportunities for student involvement and leadership. Scholarships are also

Intercollegiate Athletics
   Indian Hills athletic teams are members of the Iowa
Community College Athletic Conference and the National
Junior College Athletic Association. Indian Hills competes in
nine sports:
   Men’s Baseball
   Women’s Softball
   Men’s and Women’s Cross Country
   Men’s Golf
   Men’s and Women’s Soccer
   Men’s Basketball
   Women’s Volleyball
   Indian Hills teams annually compete for regional and
national championships. In fact, the Warrior golf team has
won the last two NJCAA Division I national championships.
Other squads have also made recent national tournament
appearances. Indian Hills is the only school to ever win three
straight national championships in basketball.
   And Indian Hills athletes excel in the classroom as well.
This past year, five individuals received NJCAA Academic
Achievement awards and four teams were honored as
NJCAA All-Academic Teams.

and universities to continue their education and athletic
