Hypnosis is a way of focusing and visualising your desired
outcomes. However many clients do not have a clear idea of
their outcomes or goals. They are able to tell me what they
‘don’t want’. For example they ‘don’t want’ to be a smoker, or
they ‘don’t want to be sick’. However they really struggle to tell
me what they do want and are unable to clearly visualise their
life as a non smoker.

there, success is much less likely. It is a good idea to
spend some time with your hypnotherapist before you
quit and really focus in on what the non-smoking life
will be like for you, especially at those times when you
normally smoke now.
Ask yourself - what will you be doing instead, who will
be there, what are you wearing, where are you going,
how do you feel, what can you see, smell and feel with
What is different? Keep asking yourself – what else?
Be very, very specific, as if you are describing a
scene in a movie.
Write it out and read it aloud so that it starts to
