              designed to help prepare students for
              DoD 8570 certification exams

          •   Students may be able to select the
              certification exam as the final exam for
              the course

          •   UMUC certification course advantages

                 therefore eligible for tuition
                 reimbursement
                Most are available online
                UMUC is a low cost provider based
                 on published rates

Undergraduate Transfer Credit Policies
   •   Up to 90 credits from a regionally accredited 4-year institution
   •   Up to 70 credits from a regionally accredited 2-year institution
   •   Up to 60 credits from examinations
   •   Up to 60 credits for military training and experience
   •   Up to 21 vocational/technical credits
   •   Total number transferred not to exceed 90 credits


Graduate Transfer Credit Polices
   •   Up to 6 from a regionally accredited institution if related to the
       student's program of study
   •   The MBA, Executive programs, Doctor of Management, and
       Cybersecurity programs do not accept transfer credit.
         Credit for Work Experience

Earn undergraduate credit for previous work experience
and learning outside the classroom

• Prior Learning – earn up to 30 credits through Course Challenge or
   Portfolio Development


• Co-op Program – earn 3-6 credits for on-the-job learning

• Examinations – earn up to 60 credits from AP, DLPT, USAFI,
   DANTES, CLEP, Excelsior College Exams, HRCI and other
   professional certification exams
