Nokia Lumia 610 is the latest Windows smartphone of Nokia that was released on 2012 April. The
phone comprises of 3.7 inch sized TFT capacitive touchscreen which has a true display of 65K colors.
The dimensions of the phone are 119 x 62 x 12 mm .i.e. it is 119mm long, 62mm wide and 12mm
deep. The phone also weighs 131.5g. The phone runs on the latest Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5
Mango OS. Since Nokia Lumia 610 is packed up with 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A5 processor, its
processing will take place faster and efficiently. The Graphical Processing Unit(GPU) used in this device
is the Adreno 200. The phone also uses a Chipset of Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon. Internal
memory and RAM is the most important part of a phone. In the case of Nokia Lumia 610, we don't
need to get tensed since it has 8 GB in-built storage space and a 256MB RAM. The RAM features can
be considered as the main defect of the device. Because most of the smartphones of this range has an
normal RAM feature say 1GB or 512MB,etc... But the phone doesn't supports any MicroSD cards or
any other external storage. Most of the audio and video formats like MP3/WMA/WAV/AAC and
MP4/H.264/WMV/H.263 are supported in this handset. The main thing that we need to consider is its
camera feature. The device comes with a 5MP camera with LED flashlight in which quality images can
be captured (2592х1944 pixels) at low light conditions. The additional features in the camera are Geo-
tagging, autofocus and face-detection. No secondary camera is used in this handset. The camera also
supports in video recording at VGA@30fps. Connectivity features like GPRS (Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots),
32 - 48 kbps), EDGE (Class 10, 236.8 kbps), 3G (HSDPA= 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA= 5.76 Mbps), 2G, Wi-
Fi(Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and EDR, GPS (with A-GPS support) and microUSB
2.0 are supported in this device. A Standard battery of Li-Ion 1300 mAh (BP-3L) is used which offers a
standby of 670 h (2G) / 720 h (3G) and talktime of 10 h 30 min (2G) / 9 h 30 min (3G) and a music
playback of 35h.
Nokia Lumia 510




Nokia Lumia 510 is the latest Windows smartphone of Nokia that was released on 2012 April. The
phone comprises of 4.0 inch sized TFT capacitive touchscreen which has a true display of 65K colors.
The dimensions of the phone are 120.7 x 64.9 x 11.5 mm .i.e. it is 120.7mm long, 64.9mm wide and
11.5mm deep. The phone also weighs 129g. The phone runs on the latest Microsoft Windows Phone
7.5 Mango OS. The phone Nokia Lumia 510 is packed up with 800 MHz Snapdragon S1 processor. So
the phone can be operated in normal speed. It is expected that tha phone will comes with a Graphic
Processing Unit(GPU) of Adreno 200and a Chipset based on Snapdragon S1. Internal memory and
RAM is the most important part of a phone. In the case of Nokia Lumia 510, we don't need to get
tensed since it has 4 GB in-built storage space and a 256MB RAM. Since the Nokia Lumia 510 is
budget phone and mainly aimed at normal users, the 256MB RAM is much better. As we compare with
other Windows smartphones the the RAM feature is much better. But the phone doesn't supports any
MicroSD cards or any other external storage. Apart from these this device also supports a 7GB free
SkyDrive storage which helps us to store images, videos, songs,etc in those space. Most of the audio

Display

Nokia Lumia 610 has the display features like 3.7 inch sized TFT capacitive touchscreen, 65K true
color display, 480 x 800 pixels and ~252 ppi pixel density, multi-touch.

Nokia Lumia 510 has the display features like 4.0 inch sized TFT capacitive touchscreen, 65K true
color display, 480 x 800 pixels and ~233 ppi pixel density, multi-touch.

As we compare the display feature of both the Windows phones, they have almost similar features.
But the only difference is in its screen size and pixel density. Nokia Lumia 510 has 4.0 inch sized
screen and its pixel density is ~233. So it is clear that the screen size of Nokia Lumia 510 is slightly
greater than that of Nokia Lumia 610 and its pixel density is much lesser. In other words we can say
that both the Nokia phones shows similar performance in its display functions.


Operating System
Both the phone is featured by Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS. So users are allowed to use
the applications that supports in this OS platform.
Camera features
As we compare the camera features of both the Windows phone we can see that they have almost
same feature. Both the phone comes with a 5MP camera which can be used for capturing quality
pictures of resolution 2592х1944 pixels. Additional features like Geo-tagging, face detection and
autofocus are included in the both phones. Just like Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia Lumia 510 doesn't has a
secondary camera. Both the phone features video capturing at VGA@30fps. The only difference
between them is that Nokia Lumia 610 has a LED flashlight where Nokia Lumia 510 doesn't have. But
it is not a huge defect to the Nokia Lumia 510 since it is a low cost phone. At its price range no
Windows phones are there.


Memory and Processor
Nokia Lumia 610 has an in-built memory of 8GB. It is also featured by 256MB RAM. No external
memory is used in this handset. Just like the above Nokia Lumia 510 also has a 256MB RAM. But it
only has a 4GB internal storage. This phone doesn't supports external memory. Apart from these
Nokia Lumia 510 allow users to store their data and information in their 7GB SkyDrive storage. Only
this phone provides such a feature, it is an advantage for Nokia Lumai 510 above the Nokia Lumia
610.

When we compare the processor details of both phones, i think Lumia 610 is much better. Lumia 610
uses a CPU of 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A5 , GPu of Adreno 200 and Chipset of Qualcomm MSM7227A
Snapdragon. But it is expected that the Lumia 510 comes with a CPU 800 MHz Snapdragon S1, GPU
Adreno 200 and Chipset of Snapdragon S1. Although the Lumia 610 has better feature in its
processing, we also need to consider the price range of Nokia Lumia 510. So it is not a big advantage
for Lumia 610.


Connectivity
Nokia Lumia 610 and Nokia Lumia 510 has similar connectivity features like GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 2G,WiFi,
Bluetooth v2.1, GPS and microUSB 2.0. All other features are similar except the GPRS. Lumia 610
uses Class 10 model which has a data transmission rate of 32 - 48 kbps. But Lumia 510 has a data
transmission rate upto 85.6kbps. So it is clear that Nokia Lumia 510 is better than Lumia 610 in its
connectivity features.


Conclusion
The Nokia Lumia 610 is priced at Rs.12990. News report says that nokia Lumia 510 is low cost
Windows smartphone and it will be priced at less than Rs.11000. Here in this we compared all the
features of the two new Windows phones. by this comparison made it is clear that Nokia Lumia 510 is
better than Nokia Lumia 610 since it is comprises of several new features. No other Windows phone
exists to replace the Nokia Lumia 510 at this price range. So we can conclude that Nokia Lumia 510 is
the best Windows phone to buy at this price range.
