                    social services
    manager of social services, Aggie Asher, has
  been with Atchison Hospital for 17 years. After
  growing up in Atchison and working at Trinity
  lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, mo. for 10
  years, Aggie returned to Atchison for the
  opportunity to work at her hometown hospital.
    Working in social services, Aggie strives to
  make sure patients are happy with their care
  and works with families to set up community
  services after a patient’s discharge.
    “I really like the feel of community social
  work. There is such a feeling of neighbors
  helping neighbors,” said Aggie.
    Aggie is also the co-chair of the Atchison
  Hospital ethics Committee. The ethics
  Committee works with patients and families
  when they need to make difficult ethical
  decisions.
