Site Residency Training Director and Section Chief, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dental Service, VA
Medical Center: I have attended this clinic for the past 16 years. I supervise residents in their chief year of
residency (R6) at the UCSF Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program. I also supervise
R1 residents in the General Practice Residency (GPR) Training Program during their 13 weeks/year of
rotation in oral and maxillofacial surgery as well as D3 and D4 dental students on their oral surgery
externship. In addition, I also perform direct patient care in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery,
with an emphasis on maxillofacial reconstruction and TMJ reconstruction. Presently, I devote approximately
one day a week to research activity.

Private Practice Associate (part-time) in Bay Area Oral and Facial Surgery Medical Group, Inc., San
Francisco, CA: I see private patients 10 hours a week, for the past 8 years. Services primarily include dental
implant placement, bone grafting, dentoalveolar surgery, and management of TMJ disorders.
