21st Century Culminating Artifacts Proposal
I, ___________________________________, will complete an Individual Culminating Artifact.
Specifically, I will create (a) __________________________________________________ that will
demonstrate my understanding and application of 21st century learning as it relates to my classroom and
school and/or builds capacity for more research and learning. This Individual Artifact will consist of the
PORTFOLIO Ongoing research and reflections as posted regularly to my blog, as well as a
final blog post (PAPER) that synthesizes my research and learning, details
results of classroom-based action research, and/or formally outlines and
commits to a “shifted” classroom model or school-based PLC for the 2010-11
PRODUCT A wiki page on the Dobbs 21st Century Learning wiki with evidence of my
research as well as documentation of either current action research or plans
for 2010-11 classroom pilots or PLC
PRESENTATION 10-minute oral presentation to be delivered at the final cohort meeting in May
PAPER Culminating blog posting that that synthesizes my research and learning, details results
of classroom-based action research, and/or formally outlines and commits to a “shifted”
classroom model or school-based PLC for the 2010-11 school year
This Individual Artifact will achieve the following objectives I set for myself via my personal learning
In the spirit of collaboration, I will also work to develop a Group Culminating Artifact with my cohort
colleagues in an effort to demonstrate the learning of our cohort and support the individual work of each
cohort member. This Group Artifact will consist of rich development of our 21st Century Learning Wiki
with resources (tools, articles, applications) that include, but are not limited to: Critical Thinking,
Collaboration, Creativity (and Innovation), Communication (including Presentation and Design), and
Global Connection. The resources might also include further information on Differentiated Learning,
Inquiry-Based Learning, and Project/Problem-Based Learning. As a group we agree to commit to

environment for my students.
