LESSON PLAN (Teaching Listening) Time : 2.30 p.m. – 3.10 p.m. Class : Year 6 Wawasan Level of Proficiency : Intermediate level Topic/Theme Purpose : Nouns : 1) To introduce nouns as a part of speech to students. 2) To expose pupils to useful and enjoyable English activities. 3) To familiarize pupils to listen to spoken English language. Teacher’s Role Pre-listening Stage Set Introduction Pupils listen to the explanation. Pupil’s Role No. 1.0 1.1 1.1.1 Teacher will explain about nouns to the pupils. 1.1.2 Teacher shows a slideshow of some Pupils look at the slideshow and examples of nouns via PowerPoint presentation. 2.0 2.1 While Listening Stage Activity 1 (Listening to a song) Pupils read the worksheets given by the teacher. Pupils listen to the song for the first time and they may sing along.
