Level of Proficiency : Intermediate level Skill focus Topic/Theme Purpose : Listening, Reading and Writing. : Adjectives : Upon successful completion of the lesson, the students will be able to: 1) To introduce adjectives as a part of speech to students. 2) To expose students to useful and enjoyable English activities. 3) To familiarize students in listening to spoken English language. : Upon successful completion of the lesson, the students will be able to: 1) write out at least ten words of adjectives that shows qualities 2) write out five sentences using adjectives that shows qualities : Handouts/worksheets, PowerPoint presentation : Cooperation. Set Introduction

1.1.1 Teacher will explain about adjectives to the students. one type of adjectives will be introduced which is: i. Adjectives that show qualities.

1.1.2 Teacher shows a slideshow of some examples of adjectives via

PowerPoint presentation. At the same time, teacher will ask students about other adjectives that show qualities that they know. 2.0 While Listening Stage Students will response by telling what other vocabulary of adjectives that they now.

Activity 1 (Listen to a song) Students read the worksheets given by the teacher. Students listen to the song for the first time and they may sing along.

2.1.1 Teacher distributes worksheets to students and asks them to read it. 2.1.2 Teacher plays a song, entitled “Dancing Queen” by Abba for the first time. 2.1.3 Teacher plays the song for the second time and asks students to identify adjectives in the lyric provided in the worksheet. 2.1.4 Teacher discusses the answers with students.

Activity 2 (Crossword Puzzle) Students divide themselves into four groups. Students read the crossword puzzle sheet given by the teacher. Students listen for the instructions.

2.2.1 Teacher divides the students into four groups. 2.2.2 Teacher distributes crossword puzzle sheet to each group. 2.2.3 Teacher gives instruction to the students. 2.2.4 The first group to finish and answer them correctly will be announced as the winner and will be rewarded. Teacher discusses the answers with students.

Summarization of the lesson

3.1.1 Teacher sums up the lesson for today and states moral value of cooperation. 3.1.2 Teacher gives the students worksheet (Homework 1) to do at home. Students will complete the worksheet and submit it in the next class.
