					Matthew 6:24
24 “No one can be loyal to two
masters. He is bound to hate one
and love the other, or support one
and despise the other. You cannot
serve God and the power of
money at the same time.”
Matthew 6:24
31-33 “So don’t worry and don’t keep
saying, ‘What shall we eat, what shall we
drink or what shall we wear?! That is
what pagans are always looking for; your
Heavenly Father knows that you need
them all. Set your heart on the kingdom
and his goodness, and all these things
will come to you as a matter of course.
To teach how “all these
things” shall be added.
INTRODUCTION:

1. In our day, a great deal of anxiety is
felt about the physical things of life.
2. Untold millions of dollars are spent
learning how to prosper.
3. Then there is the pile of money spent
on treating the anxiety caused by wealth.
4. Jesus teaches the eradication of
such anxiety by means of service to
God.
a. He says you cannot serve God
   AND money, v. 24.
b. He teaches the great value of the
   individual to God, vv. 25-26.
c. He then teaches the utter futility
   of anxiety, v. 27.
4. Jesus teaches the eradication of
such anxiety by means of service to
God.
d. Then, the providential care of
God, vv. 28-30.
e. He commands, Do not be anxious,
Seek first the kingdom, vv. 31-33.
f. Finally, the benefit, “all these things
shall be added unto you.”

I. GOD ADDS TO US BY
GENERAL PROVIDENCE.
God generally provides to all.
Matt. 5:45.
God is good to all. Psalm 145:9

II. GOD ADDS TO US BY OUR
WORKING.
God’s plan is for man to work for
his bread. 2 Thess. 3:10-12.
Work to provide for family.
     1 Tim. 5:8.
Work to give. Eph. 4:28.

III. GOD ADDS TO US BY OUR
GIVING.
 Give and it shall be given unto
you. Luke 6:38.
 For God and the Gospel’s sake.

IV. GOD ADDS TO US BY OUR
ASKING.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Matt. 6:11; Luke 11:3.
Have not because ye ask not. Jas 4:2.
Persistence in asking. Matt. 7:7-11
Psalm 37:25 – I have
been young, and now am
old; yet have I not seen the
righteous forsaken, nor his
seed begging bread.
When God says that we
 not fret about our living
 here on earth, that we
 seek first the kingdom,
 believe that He has real
 plans as to how we are to
 be fed and clothed.
