I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a candidate for the said post.
Lastly I served at Grand Mercure Karachi Airport Hotel, in Business Centre; I am the
member of the team who is involved in the pre-opening of this very first 5 star hotel in
Pakistan. Before joining this, I have worked as an Assistant Export Manager in Universal
Textile Impex. My core responsibility in addition to the normal operation was to
coordinate with the counter part in foreign countries to deliver the consignment on time
and safely. Besides that I also took an initiative to computerize the Export Department by
making computer software by myself.

Before joining Universal Textile Impex, I have worked in the Sales Activation
Department of Paktel Limited since December 15, 1997 in the capacity of Customer
Service Assistant. In addition to the normal activities, which are the responsibility of Sale
Support Department, I have performed customer handling at front end, resolving bill-
related issues of customers and handled walk-in-sales. I therefore, have thorough
knowledge regarding the processing of sales.

Before joining the Paktel Team, I have worked at Cotecna Inspection S. A. in the
capacity of Courier Clerk. Attached please find a copy of my detailed resume for your

WORK EXPERIENCE
 March 2007 to August2007.
  Grand Mercure Karachi Airport Hotel, Business Centre
    This is the very well know brand of the French chain of hotels namely Accor Group,
    who have the experience of managing more then 4200 hotels world wide. I joined
    this very first 5 Star hotel of Pakistan in its very early stage of pre -opening. I am
    responsible to organise and implement the pre-opening task and to create the
    procedure to run daily operation smoothly in Business Centre to make guests
    satisfy, and to maintain quality of service for day to day operation.

   January 2001 to August 2002.
    Universal Textile Impex,
    Assistant Manager Exports
    I was responsible to make smooth day to day operation in all aspects such as
    negotiating with the shipping liner for freights and finalise the most suitable liner
    who deliver the consignment on time as well as in a cost effective manner.
    Coordinating with productio n department    to ensure the document of the respective
    consignment will be delivered to the shipping agent on time and also to make sure
    that the shipping agent must clear the consignment within the time limits of
    Pakistan Customs. Also to arrange the Exp ort Visa for the appropriate category of
    goods from Export Promotion Bureau of Pakistan, and informing the counter part of
    the consignee about the recent position of consignment in their respective
    countries.
    Special Assignments:-
    I took an initiative to computerise the Export Department. Before that the all
    documents relating to consignment were made by the several numbers of typists
    which make delay in shipment of consignment. So I took an initiative and start
    making computer software for the Export Depa rtment. And after implementation of
    said software the documents making time reduced from days to minutes. Now the
    export department is able to make any document with in 30 minutes.

   December 1997 to December 2000.

    I was responsible to verify new connection applications that the dealer or sales
    persons of the company are submitting to verify fraud connection application in
    greed of commission with making direct contact with the custom er on telephone or
    personally meeting with customer. After verifying the customer I am also
    responsible to make their connection active with making complete process solving
    queries, such as defaulter’s mobile phone sets etc. I am also responsible for
    monitoring of Sales Support Department. I also handled the Walk -in –Sale, and the
    customers who has bill-related issues.

     Clearance of Outstanding of Customers.
     I have also conducted the monitoring aspect of Customers by tracking the
       customers whose usage and credit limits do not match.

    I was responsible for download of various information’s about consignmen t
    imported by the parties, from our affiliate offices around the globe, via Modem,
    which is connected to WWW (World Wide Web). This information basically
    provided by the exporter to our affiliates. After checking the details of information
    which consisted of Shipping Details, Marks and Numbers of Packages, Values,
    Description, H. S. Codes etc. etc., I had to forward that information to relevant
    department for necessary action which help in issuance of Clean Report of Findings
    (C. R. F.) and follow up there of.

    Purchase Order in favor of various organizations and Auditing the bills received
    from various organizations against Purchase Order.
