TIM REID’S VIRGINIA-BASED NEW MILLENNIUM STUDIOS SHOOTS VIRGINIA LOTTERY CAMPAIGN Obsidian Productions Shoots “Star Trek” Scratcher Spots November 12, 1998
Petersburg, Virginia - November 12, 1998 - Obsidian Productions, based at New Millennium Studios, produced a new television campaign for the Virginia Lottery. Directed by Martin C. Jones, the “Star Trek” spots will appeal to fans of the classic sci-fi television series. “I’m elated that the Arnold Agency has given me the oppurtuinity to pay homage to one of my favorite TV shows growing up”, says Jones. The campaign was created by the Richmond based advertising firm, The Arnold Agency. Creative Director Matt Smith heads the talented team which includes, Agency Producer Joe Pistorio and Copywriter Eric Eisele. “Star Trek” was shot on location in Colonial Heights, Virginia. The comedic spot was created to promote the new Virginia Lottery game, Star Trek Scratcher. It will begin airing statewide on December 8, 1998.
