The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was passed by
Congress and signed into law by President Obama on Feb. 17, 2009. The
expressed purpose of the $787 billion Recovery package is to jump-start the
economy to create and save jobs. Twenty-eight federal agencies are
distributing Recovery funds though 217 specific programs.
How will this money impact economic opportunities for residents of St.
