The 7 Eleven company is in the permitting process that will lead to the construction of a new outlet at the southwest corner
of Conway and Anderson Roads. With the aid of photoshop, we inserted a photo of a 7 Eleven outlet to help visualize what the
corner may look like.
The company is also buying up independent convenience stores and converting them to 7 Eleven outlets. These actions appear
to be a company strategy aimed at thwarting competition from Philadelphia based Wawa stores. Wawa has recently entered the
Central Florida Market with plans to open 100’s of stores along the I-4 corridor over the next few years.
Wawa stores are noted for their freshly prepared hoagies, coffee, competitively priced gas offering and friendly service. Customers
can also order foods including soups, subs and smoothies using in store touch-screens.

Besides being proud of the overall season, Head Coach Greg Shirley is
particularly proud of his departing seniors. Coach Shirley says that the seniors on
his team will be missed, “The senior captain, Austin Harris was a great leader as were

Due to Boone basketball’s success at every level, the Braves have reason to be
excited about next year. Commenting on his coaching staff, Coach Shirley says, “I am

Boone’s other teams also had successful years. JV Coach David Martinson led
his team to a (15-5) record. Vince Carter Sr. and Spencer Strode led the freshman team to

With a great foundation and all five starters coming back, Coach Shirley is very
excited about the future of Boone basketball. Returning for his final season and leading
the Braves next year is Schuyler Rimmer. Rimmer led the team in scoring and averaged a

The middle school boys and girls Basketball teams at Pine Castle Christian

and determination, they accomplished the top spots in their leagues. For
the past two seasons, both the boys and girls Middle School basketball
teams competed in a league hosted by Foundation Academy.
The middle school boys at PCCA had a terrific season that was capped
by winning the League Championship Title. Their 17 and 1 season
ended with a win over Mt. Dora Bible. The win was extra special as they
made it to the championship game last year and lost in the final seconds
of overtime to Windermere Prep. Coach and Conway resident, Dr. Joe

talents and all hustled on defense.
