SKIN CONTACT Possible frostbite.
Treatment of frostbite after contact with liquid: Flush with large amounts of lukewarm (about 40°C) water.Get medical advice.
EYE CONTACT May cause frostbite.
Flush immediately with lukewarm, running water for at least 15 minutes, also under the eyelids. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse.
INGESTION
Is not considered a potential risk. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
PROPER FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT Cool the cylinder with large amounts of water from a safe distance. IMPROPER FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT not applicable FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS Containers may explode if heated.
The substance is not combustible.
PERSONAL PROTECTION WHEN FIREFIGHTING If possible, fight fire from protected position.
Use self-contained breathing apparatus if substance is involved in fire.
OTHER INFORMATION Do not move any cylinder which has been involved in fire until it is cold.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
SAFETY MEASURES TO PROTECT PERSONS Evacuate personnel to safe area.
Be aware of the danger of frost damage.Provide fresh air supply to closed/confined spaces.Vapours are heavier than air and may cause asphyxiation by reducing oxygen available for breathing.
SAFETY MEASURES TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT Avoid release to/disposal in the environment.Stop leak if possible without risk. DO NOT touch spilled material! PROPER METHODS FOR DAMAGE LIMITATION AND CLEANUP Stop leak if possible without risk.Liquid leaks may possibly be prevented by turning the container so the leakage point will be in the gas phase instead of the liquid phase. Then only gas will leak out.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
HANDLING
Suck back of water into the cylinder must be prevented.
HANDLING ADVICE Use only equipment and materials approved for this gas. STORAGE Protect gas cylinders against direct sunlight, precipitation and corrosive environment.Secure gas cylinders to prevent them from falling; avoid shocks and heating. OTHER INFORMATION
