Benjamin Franklin
By Matthew
Benjamin Franklin was born on
January 17, 1706 in Boston,
Massachusetts. He was one of the
Founding Fathers of America.
He had a lot of careers. One of them
was a scientist, and because of that
he was a huge person in the American Enlightenment, and the history of
physics, because of all of his discoveries, and theories about electricity. He
also invented the lightning rod, bifocal, the Franklin stove, odometer, and
the glass harmonica. He also began the first lending library, and the first
Fire Department in Pennsylvania.
Benjamin Franklin was an important person
because he
was one of
the
Founding
Fathers.

Also he did experiments with electricity which led to the light bulb.
Benjamin Franklin died of old age on April 17,
1790 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Benjamin
Franklin got awarded the Copley Medal for
experimenting with electricity. He also received a
doctorate from St. Andrews.
So now, I want to tell you my feelings about
Benjamin Franklin. I feel that I admire him for
being a Founding Father, and for conducting experiments with electricity.
