Eating out on Anglesey
A wide variety of cuisine is available within a few miles of Fodol Cottages. The range
available includes something for every taste, occasion and purse, from takeaway to
superior formal dining - from historic buildings in Beaumaris to grand country house hotels.
Restaurants in Beaumaris
Ye Olde Bulls Head. Castle Street, 01248 810329.
'The Bull' offers formal dining in a rather elegant upstairs room, but we prefer the
atmosphere in the Brasserie on the ground floor. Very good food. An old coaching inn, The
Bull has played host to such notables as General Mytton, Dr Samuel Johnson and Charles
Dickens. This is our personal favorite. Open fires in the winter.
Court's Restaurant Anglesey. Regent House, Church Street 01248 810565.
Welsh and International menus. Fresh local food. You will find Court's restaurant through
the arch, on Church Street, Beaumaris, Anglesey. Booking recommended.
The Bulkeley. Castle Street 01248 810415.
A large hotel with restaurant and a coffee shop. The Bulkeley serves a variety of delicious
menus and pride themselves on cooking the best fresh produce creatively, complemented
by an extensive wine list. Sometimes there is piano accompaniment. Coffee in the coffee
shop, Real Ale in the bar, tea on the terrace, as you gaze at the spectacular panorama of
the Snowdonia mountains.
Neptune. Castle Street, 01248 812990.
On the ground floor is a fish-and-chip shop; upstairs is Café Neptune - a nice dining room
with minimalist decor and a good menu.
The Bishopsgate. Church Street 01248 810302.
AA Rosette awarded Anglesey restaurant, meals freshly prepared from local produce
wherever possible. Popular with local people.
Liverpool Arms. Castle Street 01248 810362.
The Liverpool Arms is a family run business with mostly home cooking.
