Enerji recently announced a clear timeline towards the installation of Australia’s first Opcon Powerbox at Horizon Power’s Carnarvon Power Station during 2H2011 (ASX announcement 12 May 2011). The Powerbox, which is designed and manufactured in Sweden by Opcon, transforms low-grade industrial waste heat into electricity and therefore reduces companies’ fuel costs and carbon emissions. Upon completion of this installation, Enerji (which has a ‘Build, Own, Operate’ business model) will generate revenue through its Power Purchase Agreement with Horizon Power. This first Powerbox installation will also provide a reference site in Australia and support Enerji’s wider commercialisation objectives.
