MGM – Marquis Suite
This suite has 2 king size bedrooms, 2 shower/Jacuzzi tub bathrooms, bar, sitting room,
3 TV's, bathrobes and slippers.
This hotel is presently doing a $200 Million in renovations. They will be done by the end
of 2005. The west wing was done in March.
Imperial Palace – 2 double beds, quiet, old carpet, balcony with no chairs, air
conditioning, TV with video games, old bathroom with cracked sink.
Only 1 floor is currently being renovated, four floors are smoking. Older
casino, employees have old looking uniforms, there were lots of people. There
is a big selection at the buffet. Cost is 11.95 for supper, 9.75 for lunch and
8.25 for breakfast.
Hilton – The 2nd floor suites were being renovated 2 weeks before we arrived.
Floors 3-5 were currently being renovated.
There is 4 casual dining restaurants and 7 formal restaurants. Low
occupancy rate is USD59.00 for a standard room.
Mirage – King size room: very clean, in-room safe.
Mirage – 2 bedroom suite: 2 king beds, foot board has a flat screen TV that
will lift up for comfortable viewing.
Jacuzzi tub, shower, 2 sinks, bathrobes and slippers, in-room safe, toilet and
Treasure Island – Standard 1 king bed. Very clean, in-room safe, internet
access, very quiet air conditioning.
Treasure Island – Petite Suite: Double door entrance, King size bed, his/her
bathrooms, in-room safe, Jacuzzi tub, roman columns. Very nice view all the
way down the strip.
Treasure Island – Luxury suite: King size bed, very comfortable.
Treasure Island – Luxury suite: 2 bathrooms, this one with Jacuzzi tub, and
shower, in-room safe, bathrobes, slippers and TV in this bathroom!
The Strip – For easy transportation: take bus #302 or the Express bus #301.
These buses run every 10mins. Cost is 5.00 for a day pass or 2.00 one-way.
The monorail also runs from MGM Grand to Sahara Station. With stops at
Paris/Bally’s, Flamingo/Caesar’s Palace, Harrah’s/Imperial Palace, Convention
Centre and Las Vegas Hilton. There is a free shuttle available from Harrah’s to
the Rio Suites.
Did you know… it would take you 14yrs and 7 wks to sleep in every room at the MGM Grand? You
can fit 7 Boeing 747’s in the Luxor. The Luxor light beam shines 12 miles up and you can see it
from space? Mandalay Bay and the Mirage have 18 Karat gold windows? The New York hotel’s fire
boats are originals from New York City.
Day Trip to the Grand Canyon – 2.5 hrs drive to the west rim. This is the pure
canyon, with no tourist shops.
Trip will cost USD 165.00 per person. Includes transportation from your hotel
and lunch. You can also buy a helicopter ride to the bottom and a small cruise
on the Colorado river.
Hoover Dam: Built from 1931-1935. They are currently building a bridge to
bypass driving on the dam.
Madame Tussauds Interactive Wax Museum at the Venetian.
Freemont Street Experience – Pedestrian promenade, 4 blocks of TV screen.
Shows begin at dusk and continue every hour until 10pm.
Watch as the aliens from Area 51 take over the Strip.
Bellagio Fountains – Waterfront show that features 1000 synchronized
fountains shooting water as high as 245 feet up. Free shows run every
15mins. from 7PM – Midnight.
