Established in 1902, Roxbury High school is a four year comprehensive school offering curricular and co-curricular programs to
1450 students from Roxbury Township and Mt. Arlington. We have a staff of 134 full time faculty members with 47% holding
Advanced Degrees. The school features a television studio, dance studio, pre-school and a state of the art music facility and
weight room.
The school’s rigorous and comprehensive academic programs are further enhanced by a co-curricular program that includes 25
Varsity teams. Roxbury High School encourages students to participate in student activities and, as a result, we offer more than
30 clubs and activities.
Roxbury Township is located in western Morris County, New Jersey approximately forty miles west of New York City. Roxbury
serves the communities of Succasunna, Kenvil, Ledgewood, Lower Berkshire Valley, Landing, Port Morris, and Flanders. The
district is comprised of 22 square miles and has a population of 25,000 residents. The town has five elementary schools, one
middle school, and one high school with a total enrollment of 4,105.
Roxbury High School operates on a full year schedule that offers the students a rigorous comprehensive curriculum in a
challenging academic environment. The instructional program provides the students with a wide variety of academic
opportunities in order to meet the individual needs of the student. The programs include Advanced Placement, Honors, and

To graduate from Roxbury High School, students must successfully earn 140 credits and receive a passing score on the High
School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA). A full year course earns five credits. Honors, A level and Advanced Placement Science
courses may earn six or seven credits. Students carry a minimum of 35 credits, or seven subjects each year.
