Analytics Solution Engineer
Job Description

Responsibilities
• Working within a cross-functional team to service clients in a variety of industries.
• Developing customized solutions to assist in data management, automate data analysis
   functions, and generate reports and visualization.
• Maintaining and improving existing analytics and database solutions for client projects.
• Performing quality assurance on internal code and scripts to ensure high accuracy.
• Liaising with technical team members from partner companies and clients.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferably with honours in Computer Science, Software Engineering,
   or other fields related with programming.
• Coursework in statistical analysis or data mining will be given preference
• Project experience related to data warehousing, business intelligence, data visualization,
   data mining, or statistical analysis will be given high consideration.
• Highly proficient in software development using the following languages:
       o SQL (preferably MS Transact SQL, involving stored procedures and triggers)
       o PHP Scripts or Javascript
       o Microsoft Visual Basic .NET or Visual C# .NET
       o Rich Internet Application programming (preferably using AJAX)
• In-depth knowledge of the following software development platforms:
       o Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008
       o Microsoft Integration Services, Analysis Services, and Reporting Services
       o Microsoft Visual Studio .NET

• Performing data processing and preliminary analysis to prepare for each analytics task.
• Developing predictive models and other data mining models under the direction of a
   senior analyst.
• Preparing analysis reports for clients.
• Liaising with business and functional team members from clients and partner companies.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferably with honours in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics,
   or related fields.
• Project experience related to data mining or statistical analysis highly preferred.
• Coursework in statistical analysis and modelling, with training on the use of statistical
   software such as SPSS, SYSTAT, S-Plus, or SAS
• Proficient in working with database and writing queries in SQL
• Working knowledge of the following software platforms:
       o R Statistical Programming Language

Data Management Specialist

• Working within a cross-functional team to service clients in a variety of industries.
• Administering databases containing our client’s data that are hosted in-house.
• Performing data management tasks such as importing, data cleansing, de-duplication,
   and other processing in order to allow data analysis to be done on the client data.
• Participate in the design and development of data warehouses and OLAP cubes that
   enable faster and more robust analysis of the client data.
• Maintaining existing analytics and database solutions for client projects.
• Liaising with functional and technical team members from partner companies and clients.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferably with honours in Management Information Systems,
   Information Technology, or related fields.
• Project experience in data warehousing and business intelligence highly preferred
• Extremely high proficiency in databases, including:
       o Database design and administration
       o SQL programming (involving stored procedures and triggers)
       o Data warehouse design and development
       o ETL processing
• High proficiency in developing data warehouse and OLAP cube solutions
• In-depth knowledge of the following software development platforms:
       o Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferably with honours.
• Coursework in Marketing, Mass Communication, and Multimedia Design highly
   preferred.
• High proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel or other software tools for data analysis.
• In-depth working knowledge of graphic design software packages such as:
       o Macromedia Flash
       o Business Objects Xcelsius
       o Tableau
       o Photoshop
