FlexiView Android TV firmware upgrading instructions:
Currently, we have two ways of upgrading firmware for Android TV.
1) Copy the file to 'data' folder in the internal flash memory: As Android TV cannot be
connected to PC, you must use external storage device to copy the upgrade file to the
internal memory. You can use either external USB device or SD card. Just make sure the
upgrade file is put in /data. After the upgrade is finished, the upgrade file will be deleted
automatically. This method is suitable for upgrading one unit.

2) Burn SD card: This method is suitable for mass production. You can use the same
burned SD card to upgrade a lot of units. So SD card is required if you use this method.

IMPORTANT NOTICES FOR UPGRADING
 Make sure power is not interrupted during the upgrading process. In case power is interrupted, you need to
     upgrade your Android TV again.
 For successful upgrading, the upgrade pack ‘xxx.osk’ must ensure its validity, completeness and correctness.
 Validity: The upgrade will not start if the ID of xxx.osk is not for a specified serial number.
 Completeness: If the file copy process is interrupted, the xxx.osk will not be complete, and the upgrade will
             not start automatically.
 Correctness: During the upgrading process, the system will read every file in the upgrade pack and
calculate and compare checksum. If there is checksum error with a file, the system will skip updating this
             file.

UPGRADE BY COPYING THE FILE

1. Insert your SD Card or your external USB device into your computer.
2. Create a UpdateKit directory under the root directory of the SD card/USB device. Please note that the name of
the directory is case sensitive. If it already exits, empty this directory.
3. Copy the upgrade pack android.osk to UpdateKit. Please note that android.osk are all in lower case. If the file
name of the upgrade pack is not named as android.osk, please change it to android.osk.
4. Power on your Android TV. Insert the SD card or your external USB device into your Android TV.
5. Open File Manager in the Home Screen or Launcher. Go to sdcard/external-sdcard, long press UpdateKit to pop
out a window and select Copy. If you copied the file into your external USB device, go to HDD/HDD1 to find the
     UpdateKit.
6. Go to /data (This folder is in the internal memory of your Android TV), Press Menu button and select Paste. Then
the UpdateKit folder and the upgrade pack android.osk under this folder will be pasted here. Wait for a short
period of time until the copy is complete.
7. Unplug your Android TV and then plug it back to restart your Android TV. Then the upgrading will start
     automatically.
8. The upgrading takes about 5 minutes. During the upgrading process, the green LED indicator on your Android
TV stays on. When the upgrading is complete, the green light flashes. If the upgrading fails, the light turns off.
9. After the upgrading is complete and the green light flashes, please unplug your Android TV and then plug it back
     to restart your Android TV.
Important:
 The upgrade starts automatically as long as there is the upgrade pack ‘android.osk’ under /data/UpdateKit. And
‘android.osk’ will automatically be deleted after the upgrading is finished no matter whether the upgrading is
successful or not. If the upgrading is not successful, you need to copy the upgrade pack again and complete the
     upgrading.
 The folder name UpdateKit and the upgrade pack name android.osk are fixed and case sensitive. If the upgrade
file is not named as android.osk, change it into android.osk.
