                         10/9/07

PAPI: “Hola. My name is Papi. I’m one of the stars of Disney’s new
movie, ‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’, coming next year. And it’s
gonna be huge! We’re talking an epic story of love and loss, joy
and pain, triumph and defeat, action and adventure. And tons of
laughs. Of all the summer movies, you might say this one is the
            pick of the litter.

“Now watch this next movie trailer while I attend to a mild itch.”

As Papi starts to scratch furiously…

            Narnia 2 trailer plays

PAPI: “Wow. That was really something special. It seemed to have much
of the awesome stuff that is going to be in my movie – like I said,
love and loss, joy and triumph, action and epic adventure… Only
‘Narnia’ seems to be missing something… What is it? What is it?
            ... Oh, that’s right… DOGS!

“Sure there’s lion! And a half-horse-half-man thingy! Meanwhile,
there are real dogs out there with real talent! Or as I call them…
            my supporting cast.”

                         10/9/07

PAPI: “Hello. My name is Papi. I want to talk to you about big, important
themes like courage, honor, adventure, true love – specifically,
how they’re all part of the biggest movie event of this coming
summer. It’s called ‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’, starring me. And to
think, a year ago, I was wearing antlers in a used car commercial.

            Narnia 2 trailer plays

PAPI: “Yes! ‘Chronicles of Narnia 2’! That’s what I’m talking about! It’s
got big themes of courage, honor, adventure, true love, an epic
story. Wait, all those things are part of ‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’.
            Except my movie doesn’t have a half-horse half-man creature.
That would have been kinda cool, though.”

PAPI: “Hello. Papi here. To tell you about the biggest movie of the
coming summer: ‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’ . It’s got action,
adventure, comedy, plus epic themes of love, loss, honor, courage
and redemption. And the kicker: it’s starring me, Hollywood’s next
big ‘It’ dog, if you believe the tabloids, which I do…

                   “So check this out…”

                   Narnia 2 trailer plays

PAPI: “That was amazing! I loved the first Narnia movie, but this one
                   might be even better!”

“Really – it gave me chills. I’m still trembling. See?”

VOICE [O.S.]: “You’re always trembling. That’s what Chihuahuas do.”

PAPI: “Yes, but way more than usual this time.”

“Anyway… And that battle scene?! Wow! While I was watching,
my eyes were literally bulging out of my head!”

VOICE [O.S.]: “Your eyes are always bulging out of your head.”

PAPI: “Do you mind?”

LOPEZ: “Hola, me llamo Papi. Soy estrella de la pelicula que vine el
         proximo – Un momento.

PIC: Papi paws/adjusts the mic.

LOPEZ: “Ah, that’s better. Somebody turned on the SAP button.”

“In English -- my name is Papi, and I’m starring in next year’s
biggest comedy called “Beverly Hills Chihuahua’. It’s starring
Drew Barrymore and Salma Hayek so obviously they needed a
strong leading dog. [Push in on sexy look] With smoldering eyes.

“I’d like to say I was a shoe-in for the part, but it came down to me
and this other Chihuahua [pantomimes air quotes] until he was
exposed as a Pomeranian with a clever haircut. I knew his accent
         seemed fishy.

“Maybe someday the world will mention Papi in the same breath
as other great Latino actors. Antonio Banderas. J-Lo. The Rock.
He’s Latino, right? Maybe if he called himself El Roque, there
         wouldn’t be so much confusion.”

“But seriously, it’s time for us Chihuahuas to show the world
we’re not just accessories. Every time you open a magazine,
there’s some Hollywood ‘It’ girl carrying a Chihuahua in their
Gucci purse. Britney, Paris – please, we’re dogs, let US walk!

PIC: This concept is shot like a George Lopez HBO special – multi-
camera in a large concert hall. Camera pans over the packed house.
              The electricity is palpable.

P.A. ANNCR: “And now, ladies and gentlemen, the star of Disney’s new comedy,
‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’… Give it up for Paaa-piii!”

PIC: Papi bolts out from the wings, stalking the stage with a head-set
and the bravado of a dog ten times his size!

PAPI: “How’s everyone doing tonight?

PIC: Thunderous applause.

PAPI: That’s right! I’m a movie star now. It’s been crazy, hanging out
with my co-stars Drew Barrymore and Salma Hayek. A year ago, I
was hanging out behind Taco Barn with Tito, a stray wiener dog.”

“These days, everyone wants a little dogs. I get it. Little dogs are
superior in many ways. We need less food, we take up less space,
when we pass gas it’s not as bad.”

PAPI: “But all you people who own little dogs … Let us be dogs! Stop
putting put us in your purse! Ever heard of evolution? If you don’t
let us walk, eventually we’ll just stop being born with legs. Like
short-hair big-eared snakes. What section of the pet store would
they even put something like that?”

PAPI: “Chihuahuas.”

“We are famed for our small size. Our big eyes and ears…”

“And occasionally, our taste for the finer things.”

PIC: Stock shot of a Chihuahua wearing a diamond-studded choker.

PAPI: “But people don’t realize we have a long and proud history.”

PIC: Map of the Aztec empire.

PAPI: “In the fifteenth century, we fought bravely alongside Aztec
        warriors.”

MX: Rising war drums and choral music.
PIC: Imagery of a great army of Aztecs.
MX: Then MX stop-down into…

PAPI: “And the Pharoahs had hairless cats. Which is just weird. But
        that’s a whole other story.”

PIC: Hairless cat dressed absurdly.
MX: Rousing MX resumes.
PIC: Steely-eyed Chihuahua perched on the shoulder of a proud,
        determined warrior.

PAPI: “We Chihuahuas rode into battle…. Mostly barking, but that can
be very distracting for the enemy.”

“And intimidating. Imagine some dude in armor and warpaint with
a sword in one hand and a little dog in the other.”

“And he’s like, ‘Say hello to my little friend.’

“You’d be like, ‘Okay, something is seriously off with this dude. I
        surrender.”
SFX: Battle cries compete with high-pitched Chihuahua yapping.
PIC: Aztec warriors raise Chihuahuas above their heads.

PAPI: “And next summer we Chihuahuas will remind the world of our
         courage and personality!”

         There, I said it.”
