Fee Schedule for 2012-2013 Academic Year

Please note that all amounts are in Hong Kong dollars. Fees and Deposits are non-transferable and
                           non-refundable, unless otherwise indicated.

                                                                  Fees
Application Fee – For NEW Shek Mun Students
The $1,500 application fee is due with submission of the application. It is used to offset administrative costs incurred and is
only valid for the academic year originally applied for. If the applicant is not admitted, they may reapply for the following
academic year. A new application fee will need to be submitted at that time. If the applicant was placed on a waiting list and
offered a seat at a later date, but during the academic year of application, the original application fee will suffice.

Tuition – Includes the $8,600 monthly Special Education Cohort fee that covers the cost of specialized personnel, as well as
maintaining a low student-teacher ratio required to address personalized student needs.

      Elementary age $176,200 per annum
Middle School age $205,500 per annum
High School age $208,600 per annum

Building Maintenance Fee
This annual $1,000 Building Maintenance Fee is paid by each student. Money is designated to a fund for building upkeep and
improvements and will be used for repairs, painting, and any future improvements. The Building Maintenance Fee is billed at
     the first tuition installment.

Other Fees
Late Fee -$200 per tuition payment
Returned Check Charge -$200 per check
Families are responsible for other optional fees, such as school bus travel, lunch, band instrument rental, and
        certain extra-curricular activities.

                                                               Deposits
Reservation Deposit – For NEW Shek Mun Students
     Elementary age $17,620
     Middle School age $20,550
     High School age $20,860

The Reservation Deposit is equal to one month’s tuition and is credited against the student’s tuition installments.
Only students new to ICS pay this amount. The fee will be forfeited if a student is offered and accepts a place, but
subsequently decides not to take it. This encourages parents to accept a place at ICS in good faith, knowing money will be
    credited to tuition.

Tuition Deposit – For NEW Shek Mun Students
      $5,000 per student or
      $10,000 per family

The Tuition Deposit is due upon confirmation of enrollment. It rolls over from year to year and does not need to be paid
annually. This amount is credited against a student’s final tuition payment upon graduation or withdrawal. If a student
re-enrolls for the next year, but subsequently decides not to attend before the school year begins, the Tuition Deposit is
    forfeited.

Overseas applicants who request to be tested after the summer vacation may be required to submit the Tuition Deposit to
reserve the place. This deposit will be refunded if the overseas applicant is not able to meet entrance requirements or is
unable to obtain permission to remain in Hong Kong.

Book Deposit – For NEW Shek Mun Students
     Elementary $1,000
     Secondary $1,200
The Book Deposit rolls over from year to year and is refunded, minus fees for damage, when books are returned to the school
   upon withdrawal or graduation.

                                                         Debenture Program
The debenture is a one-time, non-interest–bearing promissory note issued by ICS. It is not secured by a mortgage or charge on any
ICS property or assets. The purpose of the Debenture Program is to raise capital for the long-term financial health of the school. For
new students, debenture payment is due within 30 days of acceptance or prior to attending classes, whichever is earlier. Parents
are required to submit the Debenture Application Form together with payment to the Admissions Office. A Debenture Certificate will
be issued by the Accounting Office upon receipt of the debenture payment in full. Please direct all debenture enquiries to the
Director of Finance & Administration at finadm@ics.edu.hk.

Transferable Debenture Scheme
Students under the Transferable Debenture Scheme receive debenture money after the debenture is transferred to a new
student. ICS is the sole exclusive agent handling transfers. Debenture holders cannot transfer, negotiate, or assign the
debentures to other families or related parties. If withdrawal from ICS is within twelve months of the debenture payment, a
handling fee of 15% of the debenture amount will be assessed.

    Individual Debenture Cost for Families:
$ 190,000 for the first child
$ 130,000 for the second child
$ 100,000 for the third child
No debenture is required for additional children beyond third child

                                                           Financial Support
ICS has established the three methods detailed below to support families with proven financial needs. Parents are advised to submit
applications as soon as possible. For more information, please see the ICS website (www.ics.edu.hk) or contact the Director of
Finance and Administration at 3920 0000.

Financial Assistance Scheme
ICS has established a Financial Assistance Scheme to support families with proven financial needs. Details of the scheme are
available on the ICS website. Parents who wish to apply for financial aid must submit a Financial Aid Application Form and
required documents no later than April 15, 2012.

Family Discount
Family discount is a tuition discount offered to families with three or more children enrolled at ICS. Family discount is applied
first to the eldest child and then in descending order. No family discount is applied to the first or second child’s tuition fees. The
third child’s tuition fees are discounted 10%, the fourth child’s tuition fees are discounted 15%, and the discount for any
additional children increases in 5% increments.

Debenture Relief
Qualified households are eligible for a discounted debenture. Families with a proven financial need, who qualify for a discounted
debenture, must submit an application for debenture relief. The amount of debenture relief is based on a pre-determined matrix
and is solely need-based. All debenture relief applications are handled in strict confidence, with each being independently
approved by the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees.
