Once the files above have been downloaded onto your PC, go to the Start button and then
to Programs. Locate PC Server and open the application.
Configuration:

Once the PC Server has been opened, click on Configuration.
Under the Client Tab:

Client: Enter the 4 digit client ID number that pertains to the client you have set up for
ViewChoice Email under the ViewChoice Options in Paychoice.

ViewChoice only. You choose Remote for Connection and Web for Paychoice Online.

FTP/EMAIL:. The FTP/Email dictates how payroll files are sent, ViewChoice are
always sent via Email.

Email (Payroll) : You can keep this blank, if your are strictly using the PC Server for
ViewChoice. This field is used if the licensee is emailing the payroll files (payroll, check
history) instead of FTP. The email address is where those files will be sent.

Email (ViewChoice): You will enter the client’s email address to where the file will be
going to. This is also entered in the ViewChoice Options Screen in Paychoice.
Under the General Tab:

Branch ID: You will enter your 4 digit Branch or Service Bureau ID in this field.

Set Polling: The example above is set for 15 minutes, this will take effect during host
mode, the PC Server will then look for files to send ever 15 minutes.

Under the FTP Tab: You will enter the information for your Connection clients.
Under the Email Tab:

SMTP Host: You will enter your email server domain in this field.

SMTP Name & Password: This field can remain empty.

Sender Email Address: Your email address or who is sending your client the
ViewChoice file.

Sender Name: The name your clients email will display when it receives the file.
Under the File Paths Tab:

You will need to change the drive letter from C: to the drive letter that Paychoice resides
on.
Setting up Host Mode or Manually Running the PC Server:

To set the Server to Host Mode, click on File and select Host Mode.

Once in Host Mode, a red light will appear at the bottom of the screen. The Server will
then poll for ViewChoice Email files depending on the amount of minutes entered in the
General Tab, during the configuration process.

To choose Manual Run, click on file and select Manual Run. This will then
automatically go to the \paychoic\vieweml folder and send the file to your client.
Today Icon: Displays what files are ready to send to your client (Outbox) and what files
that have been sent to your clients (Sent Items).

After running the payroll in Paychoice the PC Server will then retrieve the file from the
\paychoic\vieweml folder and store it in the Outbox.
Once the file has been sent either manually or through polling the file will then be
displayed in the Sent Items.
