• Compensatory leave may be used through
  the end of fiscal year but must be entered
  by 5 p.m. on May 28
  – Employee should project compensatory leave
    usage on accurate date through June 30
  – Must be entered into myUFL by 5 p.m., May 28
• Cash out will occur in the pay period
  ending June 1

  – Enterprise Reporting, Human Resources Information,

  part of 06-07 balances

• Unused personal holidays (USPS) or

Special Pay Plan
   Special Pay Plan           Office of Human Resource Services




• A mandatory tax-qualified retirement plan
  available to all salaried (non-OPS)
  employees for sick and vacation payments
  made at the time of separation.
• Employee may invest the 7.65% of income
  that would otherwise have gone to Social
  Security and Medicare Tax.
• Contributions are pre-tax.

• Federal income tax on this is deferred until
  distributions are taken.
• Employee immediately vested in all
  contributions.
• Employees entering DROP will be eligible.
• Implementation date – Fall 2006
• BENCOR Inc. is the plan administrator.

  Summer Student Employees Must:
  • Be enrolled half-time and working <33 hours per week
  • Exempt from FICA
    - Current FICA exemption is through 5/18/06
    - Eligibility for FICA exempt status is determine
      each semester based on enrollment

 • Work Permits:
   -Indicate the Program which is the Salary Administration Plan
   -Has a Begin Date and an End Date
   -For a Student Assistant indicates the number of approved
   hours to work
   -For Federal Work Study the approved earnings


 • If you have a current student employee that is
   eligible to get a work permit for summer 2006:
   -check the work permit to see if changes are required

 • If you have a current student employee not eligible
   to get a work permit for summer:
   -You must change to OPS through Processing and Record
   -Will be enrolled in the FICA Alternative
 • Paperwork Requirements
   -A new application and paperwork are not required if it has
   been less than one year since the employees last assignment
   through processing and records

   -A new application and paperwork are required if the
   employee has never had an assignment through processing
   and records

 Terminations for Summer

 • If you have a current student employee who will not
   be working during the summer they must be
   terminated:
       -Termination effective 5/18/06
       -In ePAF “Change Employment Status”

 • Student Employment will be entering terminations
   for students not registered
