                    Peddlers License Requirements


Fill out the application completely.

Business must be conducted in the proper zoning.

In conducting any business, you must apply for your state sales tax number from the
Arizona Department of Revenue.

If you are handling food, you must apply for your health permit from the Gila County
Health Office in Payson (474-1210). Each applicant, agent or representative handling
food products must submit a statement from a reputable physician, dated not more than
10 days prior to the submission of the application, certifying the applicant to be free of
infection, contagious or communicable disease.

If liquor is involved, you must apply with the State of Arizona Liquor Control Board
(602-542-5141).

$90.00 license fee on submittal of application and an additional fee of $20.00 for each
additional agent or representative to be included.

After filling out all forms, you must have your fingerprints done with the Town of Payson
Police Department between the hours of 8:00 & 10:00 A.M.

Submit a $500.00 License or Permit Bond made out to the Town of Payson. The Town
Attorney will approve the bond.

The Chief of Police must approve the license.

License will be good for a one-year period, expiring on expiration date of your bond. If
the bond is renewed to the Town of Payson, the peddler’s license will be renewed with a
$50.00 renewal fee.

Written permission from the property owner must be submitted for you to do business on
property not owned by you.
