    • Acceptance of the high bid becomes a binding obligation upon the bidder to make payment in full for that
item by the end of the evening. ALL sales are final, and there will be NO refunds or exchanges.
    • A bid card registered in your name will be issued to you. Use only the bid number assigned to you for all
bidding in both the live and silent auctions.
    • The Silent Auction tables will close at various intervals throughout the evening. Closing times will be announced
by the Auctioneer. The closing bid circled constitutes the winning bid. Bids in progress may be completed, but
no bid will be accepted after the closing time. In the event of a dispute, auction officials will have final authority
      to determine the winning bid.
    • All Silent Auction items have individual bid sheets. Persons wishing to bid may do so by PRINTING their name,
bid number or telephone number, and bid amount in the appropriate columns.
    • Each bid increase must be at least the minimum raise per item as indicated on the bid sheet. All bids must
be made in round dollar amounts. Bids will be disqualified if minimum bid and/or minimum raise are not
      sufficient.
    • Bids are assumed to be offered in good faith. Payment in full by the successful bidder can be made at
Auction Checkout by the end of the evening.
    • Cash, checks, Mastercard, VISA, and American Express will be accepted. An auction item will be released
to the highest bidder only after payment is made.
    • Unless otherwise specified, dates and times for services, parties and the use of vacation homes are to be ar-
ranged at the mutual convenience of the donor and buyer. To avoid disappointment, and as a courtesy to
the donor, please make all reservations well in advance.
    • Please note restrictions and/or expiration dates on the auction item. Unless otherwise noted, all auction
items and services must be used within one year from the date of the Auction.
    • Taxes, tips and beverages are not included in restaurant gift certificates unless specified.
    • The Auction Committee and The Colorado Springs School have endeavored to catalog and describe all auc-
tion items correctly. Auction Committee neither warrants or represents, and shall in no event be respon-
sible for the correctness of description, genuineness, authorship, provenance or condition of the items.
No statement contained in the Auction Catalogue or made orally at the Auction or elsewhere shall be
deemed to be such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability. All items are sold “as is.” Dollar
values are estimates provided by the donor, and are not warranted by The Colorado Springs School for tax
purposes or as an indication of market value.
    • It is the purchaser’s responsibility to pick up all auction purchases on the night of the auction.
The Colorado Springs School cannot assume responsibility for items not taken. Special arrangements for
pick-up of large items must be made at the time of payment.
    • By participating in this auction, each bidder recognizes and agrees that neither The Colorado Springs
School nor anyone who assists in the conduct of this auction shall be liable for any occurrence resulting
from the use of auction items or services.
    • Absentee bids will be accepted in writing.

    • Sociables are a great way to build community and get to know other parents and families.
    • Sociables will be sold by means of sign-up sheets similar to the Silent Auction bid sheets.
Your donation assures you a reservation for the Sociable. When signing up for a Sociable,
all events are priced per person.
    • The maximum attendance is determined by the event host(s).
    • All sales are final. Refunds will be made only if an event is cancelled.

By bidding on one or more items in this catalog: I release The Colorado Springs School from
any and all liability for any damage, injury, or expense that I or my family or guests may incur as a
result of using any auction item; I assume all risks associated with the use of any auction item; and
I, for myself, my family, and my guests, waive any and all claims that I or they may have as a result
of my use of any auction item.

framed Damascene Book – Damascene is a famous art form that is produced by hand in the city of Toledo,
Spain.  The art is the application of gold to iron or steel in different patterns (mostly a floral with birds or
geometric pattern).  The technique was brought to Spain by the Moors, but it had existed for centuries in
different societies, including the Egyptians and Greeks.  Damascene is a perfect example of the influences of
various cultures on Spain throughout history and how the people of Spain have adapted it into something of
their own.
