PROJECT OBJECTIVES
1.   Exchanging information and promoting the interaction between
     the European senior citizen as well as promoting the language
     learning (English) and IT skills
2.   Analyzing the European and national identity in view of the
     social, political and cultural roots in their homeland
3.   Exchanging information and experiences about the change in the
     political and economic system mostly in the 1980s, especially in
     the field of demography
4.   Development of the intergenerational relations with students
5.   Exchanging information about the development of the industrial
     culture

to 1.: Exchanging information and promoting the interaction as well
       as promoting the language learning (English) and IT skills

-   Preparation of a handout about the facility “Senior College” at
    Chemnitz University of Technology
- Preparation of a handout about the region Chemnitz
- Exchanging experiences with the seniors from Liberec 12/2011
           river “Elbe” and the “Saxon Switzerland” as connecting links
             between the areas around Liberec and Chemnitz; change and
             time after the reunion
- English classes and computer courses

-   Study about the collaboration between the grand parents and grand child
    generation
          third grade elementary school in Freiberg: students interview the
             “older generation” about Europe
          grand parents shall tell own experiences about the development
            of the European cooperation up to the EU
          Which values in the field of education are still there? What
            changed? Which influence has the European development on
            the jobs/career choice?
          results: texts, drawings, collages from the students

-   Meeting with seniors from the Senior College 2/2012
           discussion about the changing values in the field of education
-   Mentoring of students by the seniors
-   Intergenerational dialogue about the development of the automotive
    engineering in Saxony
-   English classes with the seniors  topics are guided by the project;
    presentations and handouts about the industrial culture in Chemnitz
    (Docent: Claudia Glashauser)

    the river “Zschopau” near Chemnitz

    Liberec
-   Studies for a touristic route of industrial culture in Chemnitz and Saxony
-   Link to the studies about industrial culture “Past – Present – Future” with
    the aim to attain young people for technical careers and studies as a part
    of the promotion of talented juniors
