Beauty Sleep opens its doors in Portland during the Belmont Steet Fair.
Meg Hanson is eager to introduce a new exhibition space with which to encourage emerging
and challenging concepts in design and creative living space. Beauty Sleep opens to provide
those moving to Portland to participate in its creative economy to redefine and reimagine the
ways in which we view personal living spaces and everyday objects.

916 SE 34th , Suite 100 (at the Grand Station of the Belmont Street Fair)
Meg Hanson is the creator and hostess of Beauty Sleep Inn located at 36th and Taylor. She
is a decorator and designer, as well as an IT Consultant, dedicated to using her Inn as well as
her project space in the heart of southeast Portland to build connections and to foster a
sustainable artistic community. The Beauty Sleep exhibition and project space is located just
3 short blocks away at 34th and Belmont and will host the majority of the Belmont Street Fair
activities in its large parking lot. The studio will be open for the public to view innovative
concepts in design and creative personal space as well as to talk with members of this vibrant
and artistic community about redefining the ways in which we express ourselves through
decoration and design.
The Belmont Street Fair will take place on September 6th from 10 am to 5 pm. The theme for
the 12th annual Belmont Street Fair is "Local Motion." The goal is to promote the Belmont area
as a great place to live, work and play. This fun, popular event is centered at "downtown"
Belmont - the commercial district from SE 34th - 35th. But events happen all along Belmont:
from SE 12th - 50th. In addition, they will recreate the historic Belmont trolly for the day that
provides a free shuttle (with live bluegrass music) every 30 minutes.
Please join us at the Beauty Sleep exhibition and project space for a fantastic day of events.
There will be a huge crafts fair, Stages and live music featuring local bands, kid’s fun center,
business promotions, and an Alernate transportation exhibit. For more information, please
