2012 Garden State Horse Driving Trial and Combined Test
                                        Are being held
                           Friday through Sunday, September 28–30

 There will be a Combined Test (CT) on Friday, September 28.
 VSE are invited to participate in the CT.
 Both the CT and Horse Driving Trails (HDT) will offer Training, Preliminary, Intermediate,
       and Intermediate II levels.
 The HDT is sanctioned by the American Driving Society.
 The HDT/CT Organizing Committee, made up of driving competitors, is planning a no-frills,
       yet competitor- and volunteer-friendly event.
The Organizing Committee welcomes Richard Pringle as our course designer. We are very pleased to
have him, along with officials Marcie Quist, Ken Mott, and Sue Mott.
The CT event will be held as a 1-day competition on Friday. The HDT is planned as a 2-day format,
with dressage and cones taking place on Saturday and marathon to follow on Sunday. Competitors
who participate in both events receive special discounted pricing. Highlights include a Friday
afternoon briefing and welcome reception and Saturday night Competitors’ Party.
Not a competitor? Many volunteers are needed for this event. For more information,
please contact Mary Nelson, volunteer coordinator, at mary.g.nelson@verizon.net. We are
also accepting sponsorships and donations. You may contact Karen Wilkin, sponsorship coordinator,
at KarenWilkin@aol.com.
For general information about the 2012 Garden State Horse Driving Trial and Combined Test,
please contact Ann Pringle at annpringle54@gmail.com.
We hope that the carriage driving community will continue to support the Garden State driving
events to keep the Horse Park of New Jersey open for carriage driving!
