NEWS & NOTES
The fall months are just around the corner and with fall comes overseeding. This month I want to go over our
overseeding dates and other key events that will take place this fall. Overseeding of The Reserve course and club area
will look very similar to the past two seasons. All club house grounds and areas at the driving range tee/complex area
will be overseeded. We also plan to overseed all fairway contours and identify any tees which we may not overseed.
Certain tees lack receiving enough sun light and have had issues with poa annua, while others just receive so little play.
In addition, I am pleased to announce that we will also overseed Hollow Creek this fall to enhance the playing
conditions throughout the winter months. It will take on a very similar look as The Reserve course. Fairways will be
overseeded in addition to all par 3 tees. On our par four and five holes, we will only overseed the red, white and blue
tees. Below is a list of all the dates for you to add to your calendar. These dates may be adjusted due to weather.
Reserve Club Overseeding
Tuesday, October 13th thru Monday, October 19th (Course Closed)
Re-open October 20th
Cart path only October 20th to October 30th
Spike Reserve greens October 13th
Hollow Creek Overseeding
Monday, September 14th thru Monday, September 21st (Course Closed)
Re-open September 22nd
Cart path only September 22nd to September 30th
Spike Hollow Creek greens October 19th
Club House Grounds and Driving Range Tee
Monday, October 5th
We will use a temporary driving range tee October 6th thru October 19th
Normal teeing area to re-open October 20th
A successful overseeding requires a lot of hard work. There will be a need to keep the seed wet for several days so
our irrigation system will be running some during the day time. We will do our best to work around our members so not
to disturb you while you play. We will need to keep carts on the cart path for the first 10 days following the seeding to
limit the seed from tracking to non-overseeded areas. Handicap flag users will be asked to keep all cart traffic off of
fairways during this time. Thank you for your help and see you on the course.
