Please see the facility map of the Oshkosh Sports Complex to view the team parking area. There will be one lot in
back by the hammer disc warm up area available for team parking. Buses are to be parked in the Campus Services
parking lot (approximately 3 blocks from the facility).
Directions from the Sports Complex to the bus parking lot: Go south on Josslyn Street to Witzel Avenue. Turn left
on Witzel Avenue. Proceed 0.4 miles. The parking lot will be on the left in front of Campus Services.
Spectators will be able to park marked lots surrounding the stadium for the price of $3.00. Street parking is also
available but limited.
Admission prices for all spectators are as follows. All athletes and coaches must wear their admissions specially
marked wristband or badge to enter the facility free of charge. Only those with proper identification will be allowed
within the competition field.

Event Entry Information
Event entry is on-line only through Coach O. from June 3rd through June 20th. Entries close at midnight.
On-line entry information will be available on the Wisconsin site (www.wiusatf.org) by June 3rd and links to the
online registration will be sent to each Association Youth Chairperson for use on each association website.
Entry fees are $7 for individual events, $10 triathlon/pentathlon, $20 heptathlon/decathlon, and $28 for relays.
Entries Listed on Website
Entries will be posted on the Wisconsin site (www.wiusatf.org) one week before the meet. If you find problems with
your entry, contact your Association J.O. meet director.
Athlete Competition/Bib Numbers
Athletes entered in the meet will receive a bib number at packet pick-up. Bib numbers are required for competition
and must be worn on the front of the uniform unless instructed otherwise. There is a $2 replacement fee for lost bib
Running Event Information
Athletes entered in running events must check in no later than 45 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the event at
the clerking tent located at the warm-up track adjacent to the competition track. Bib numbers are required for check
Any preliminary events that have nine (9) or fewer competitors check-in will be contested as a final AT THAT
Athletes will receive heat and lane assignments and hip numbers in the clerking area prior to each race. Only
competing athletes will be allowed in the clerking area.
Reminder – members of relay teams must wear a top of the same color as well as shorts of the same color or
matching body suits.
Field Event Information
Throwing implements that comply with required specifications and belong to individuals may be accepted for use in
competition. Implements accepted shall lose their identity as privately owned for the duration of the competition.
Privately owned javelins are exempt from this loss of identity rule. In the pole vault, a coach or parent will be
required to verify that their athlete will use a legal pole rated at or above his/her weight.
There will be an area designated for questions and/or protests. You have 30 minutes after the results of an event
have been posted to file a protest. A $75.00 cash fee is required and will be refunded only if the protest is upheld.
National Entry Information
Track and field shall advance the top five (5) placed individuals and the top five (5) placed relay teams to the
National meet. The top two (2) places in the combined events (tri/pent/hept/dec) plus all athletes meeting the
performance standard in the combined events will qualify for the national meet. Sub-Bantams must be seven (7)
years of age by December 31 of the current year to compete at the Junior Olympic National Meet. Entries will be

Heat sheets and results will be posted by the concession stand of the stadium. And also available for purchase.
The warm-up area is located on the Oshkosh B’ Gosh Foundation Track, which is adjacent to the competition track.
Track Facility Specifications
TRACK This is a 400-meter track, featuring nine 48” wide lanes on a Mondo surface. All
races will utilize Finish Lynx Automatic timing system as primary and back up.
TRACK ISSUES Spikes must be pyramid or tree shaped with a maximum exposed length of ¼ inch.
This applies to the long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault as well as all
running events. Meet officials will enforce this rule. The penalty for this
infraction is disqualification. Also please no spiting of gum or sunflower seeds
on the track or infield.
LONG/TRIPLE JUMP The long jump/triple jump will be contested on the infield on the backstretch
runway. The approach is 140 feet in length with boards located at 5, 12, 28, 32, 36
and 40 feet. The facility is equipped with 4 separate pits.
HIGH JUMP The high jump will be contested on the infield and has 70 feet of approach.
Additional room can be made.
POLE VAULT The pole vault will be contested on the infield on the front stretch runway. The
runway is 135 feet in length.
SHOT PUT The shot put will be contested on the north side of the track. The competition
circle is cement.
DISCUS/HAMMER Will be contested on the two circles located outside the track. The competition
circle is cement.
JAVELIN The javelin will be contested outside the track (south side) The competition
runway is a rubberized track surface.
STARTING BLOCKS All athletes will be required to use blocks supplied by UW-Oshkosh. Moye
blocks will be available.
The clerking area will be located at the north end of the warm-up area. All athletes are required to check-in at the
clerking area. All athletes (with the exception of pole vault competitors) must check-in with the clerk no later than
45 minutes prior to their respective event. All pole vault competitors must check in no later than 90 minutes prior to
the event. Athletes will be informed of the time to be back at the clerking area so they can be escorted to their event.

Implements will be weighed and measured in the lower level of the Russ Young Complex on the north end of the
